I have almost $3000 in my account at Bet365. Yesrterday I tried to login the casino, but got a message, it's closed, contact support.

When I wrote to them and asked whats happening with my account, they replied:
"Please be advised your account has been suspended temporarily following
an investigation by our Network Casino Security Department.
Unfortunately, we can offer no further details at this time."

Who gave them the right to close my account and keep my money? Even if they close an account, why don't they send an email in advance and inform the player what's the matter exactly? It's extremly rude, that they just close an account and do not inform, and the player has to worry and write to the support, what's happening.

They do not even reply to my emails properly, just repeated this bulls*** about the Casino Security Department. It's non of my business. I am a customer, and the security is their business.

It's very sad, that a company, like Bet365, which is famous and respected, behaves like this. That's why I cannot trust in the things on the net, I prefer live casinos.

I hope I'll get back my money. Any suggestion, what can I do?

They're not robbing you. However, to not give a timescale is unacceptable.

The fact that Bet365 is a UK bookie should theoretically give a lot of backup. In practice, such things remain to be seen.

Give them until Monday maybe, and if they're still BSing you, let us know.

bet365 has been crazy recently.
They have closed many accounts.

Still locked

The problem not only, thay close the account, they do not inform the customer, what's happening. This is not acceptable at all. This is a famous bookmaker from the UK, I am sure there is office which checks how do they function. I'd like to contact with somebody who can help, because these bastards do not know how to behave.

I believe strongly that you will get your money back sooner or later.

That won't make them less of a bastards. They should have informed the player prior to locking his account.

hi there, first of all dont stress although i know its hard not to given the amout of money involved, Bet365 is a trustworthy Uk highstreet bookmaker, they are no rogues so you will your money.

although it is getting worrying that quite a few Uk outfits are giving some people this treatment especially non-uk nationals.

a possible route to try and get this resolved is to use the IBAS details i have posted in the sportsbook section here.

Nothing happened, the account is still locked. I am getting the same nonsense emails from the support. "They forwarded", "currently working" etc. But these bastards cannot tell me, what is the matter. I also do not believe, if there is a problem, then a such big company cannot solve it within few hours.
What can I do now?

although i have never had any problems cashing out with B365 and i know they advertise themselves as a BRITISH outfit, i have never seen a B365 bookmakers in the high street - i really dont think they have any high street shops

just on a plus side - when i first downloaded their poker software, i entered the weekly $5K freeroll and came 2nd which was about $600 (without making any deposit :D ) - the next night i entered the $100k (it was $50k at the time) and finished 8th which paid $1800 - after playing around in their crappy casino, i still had around $2000 in my account

i had no debit/credit card registered to the account - all they had was my name and address - i wanted to cashout so i sent them an email with my bank account details requesting the withdrawal and the funds were in my account within 2 days!!!!!!!

that was NO ID and NO CARD REGISTERED to the account :notworthy

These ***holes still did not do anything about my account and write me disgusting fables, like this matter is still with the bet365casino manager. How it is possible the manager cannot open an account in 4 days? What is he doing except sratching his ***. I wrote an email to IBAS about these rascals, but of course nothing happened. What the hell can I do with these mother f***ers? These are the biggest bastards in the casino industry.

This is exactly how not to handle a complaint in the forum. I can only do so much when it comes to individual player complaints - there is a lot going on in Casinomeisterland - in the meantime I expect members to maintain self control when posting their complaints. Many of these can be dealt with publicly with willing casino managers. But you have pretty much shot your chance of getting something done without my assistance.

Do NOT make postings that are defamatory or insulting in nature. *** don't cut it because everyone knows what the hell that means.

Postings like this jeopardize the integrity of the forum.

Account suspended 7 days for not bothering to read the Forum Rules.

why so many insults?

I understand how a player can get emotionally affected when he feels he's been treated unfair. But after a little thinking one can understand that by insulting he will not generally get any help either from the forum or the manager/casino rep or some other members...(I have tried to warn Nevilra ... without success)

On the contrary, such posts, make many members wonder if they are really true or just planned attacks against generally recognised "good" casinos.

I can't know details either of the specific problem or the business behind the casino curtains but I understand that where money is involved the war is dirty and the hits under the belt become natural...

I have not ever stumbled across a bet365 high street bookie on my travels.

a few years ago i was interviewed (and offered the job) at a chain of bookmakers in the swindon area called IIRC "sam johnson-bet 365", the "bet365" was the standard bet365 logo.

at a guess, i think they must have a policy of buying small chains and retaining the original names.

believe me m8, you are going the wrong way about getting your money, for a start while IBAS may not be the quickest people in the world, but beleive me they are best when resolving customer disputes.

having dealt with IBAS myself in the past in the capacity of me refusing to pay players, i can tell you that any verbal abuse is enough for the the dispute to be settled against the player without the dispute being looked at.

a fact of UK gambling law you should make yourself familiar with, is that no bookmaker can be forced to honour a bet, something i have done myself on a few occasions bacause of verbal abuse.

Law?

Also, no GAMBLER can be legally forced to settle a debt on a credit account used for gambling.
I am under the impression that the new gambling leglislation has done something about this anomaly, and it may now be possible for either party to take civil action to test the validity of any claim. This is probably more for the benefit of the industry though, as I expect they want to be able to take credit cards in the big "supercasinos" and not be had by customers making chargebacks under the UK consumer credit act without the casino being able to challenge them in court just as a service company could when customers fail to pay for services rendered.

I never knew that VWM. I had a casino credit back my card 3 times for the same transaction once for a 1600 gain. Thet emailed me about it and I deposited the overpayment back. DAMMMM

Even if I knew the above I would have settled up (I promise), but thats shocking news. Is the new leglistation actually in force yet because you still cant use credit cards at London B&M casinos?

I am not sure which parts of the Gambling Act are in force already, so I don't know the current situation regarding enforceability of gambling debts. I don't think there will be much change at the casinos, since casino transactions would be cash advances, to which the joint liability provision of Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 does not apply. The player gets the cash, he can then spend it on gambling, wine or loose women as he pleases. The enforceability issue of gambling debts would be between the player and the credit card company. According to what I found on the UK Gambling Commission's website, which still seems to be the old regulation, casinos can have ATMs accepting credit cards, but these ATMs have to be operated by an independent 3rd party (and incidentally, they cannot charge fees) and casinos cannot extend credit to players.

the enfoceability of gambling debts, although a "anomaly" in the UK law, but is there for good reason, i.e. it ensures that bookmakers who give credit, give it out sensibly or otherwise they would just say sod it and would just give it out recklessy without consideration for the person or themselves (although there would be a lot of defaulters, this would be more than up with people who paid).

i know the bookies have pressed strongly on this to be included, although i'm not sure if it has, as the bill has been changed so many times.

i hope it hasnt, for the reason outlined above.
