Bet increases. 2.10, 2.40

Anyone but me disagree with what the casinos are doing with the mandatory bet increases. Like 1.10, 1.20, 2.10 seems like they are just getting greedier and greedier by forcing players to bet more money per spin without really balancing it out on spins. Im about done with most of them at this point till the greed stops.

Some have huge leaps. Golden Ticket goes 20cent, $1, $2 ... $10, $40

Dragon Born is 40 cents, 80 cents, $2, $4, $8, $20

There's an awful lot of games where the jump is from $2 to $5.

I definitely prefer a coin size and increasing the number of coins, especially where the bet more than doubles

I've never seen a casino force the bet size but I don't think that is what the OP means. Personally, I want a slot game that has lots of small increments so I can slowly up and down my bet according to how I feel/big wins/barren spells etc. It's interesting to hear that someone doesn't like that.

I love flexibility and get bored playing the same bet all the time. If I don't get a bonus for 50 spins, I up my bet a bit and keep doing that. Then when I hit a big win, I drop back down and start over. It can be dangerous (it's essentially a watered down Martingale strategy) but it's much more fun, especially because you tend to hit the bonus when you are betting a bit more than normal.

Similarly I hate big bet increments...it's why I don't ever bother to play the newer Playtech slots.

Like the Cleopatra revamp - old one with purple background had coin value 1,2,5,10,20 etc. and you could set any 5 of those, i.e 1.20,1.40.1.60 etc.

The crappy 'new' dark blue version is 20p/40p/£1/£2

Agreed - I stopped playing that for the same reason although it was a crap revamp too - lost all the charm of the original.

The Miami Club software, years ago, was REALLY bad like that. After feedback, they fixed it and now the bet sizing is more flexible.

I dislike many of the newer RTG games, so when I'm feeling conservative, I will play only the pre-25 line softwares (excluding Fruit Frenzy which was their first, very early slot).

Rival is good on this point, though - very flexible.

Ya not forcing it just making players pay more per spin without any real rewards to the player. They now have games that oh you only hit the bonus if you bet an extra 40 cents per spin when you already paying 2.10 a spin so thats now at 2.50 a spin and the bonus rarely hits anymore nor are the bonus spins half the time even with it especially with CWG. They have gotten really bad lately and grown increasingly unhappy playing there cause its no longer just random spins, every spin is practically a loss or you get one good spin then constant losses, not variable more like fixed. Now the newer casino games coming out they have tacked on an additional ten cents to 20 cents per spin sometimes even more than that which means few spins. thats just greedy and it only shows that they are not in it for the customers/players but for them to keep taking more money and keep their profit margins.

What i think is happening and i may be wrong, but they are monitoring players and how they play and looking at ways to increase their revenue streams by lowering the number of chances a person has to win. I could be paranoid but i have noticed that as players post their play styles the casinos then adjust their casinos to limit the playstyles to a certain extent. Like increasing the amounts before you can cash out.

Golden Ticket is one of my favourites. It's 5x bet difference between 20 cents and a dollar.

5 x bet between $2 and $10.

I can live with slots that are 20 cents, 40 cents and then a dollar.

or 25 cents, 50 cents, 75 cents and then $1.25.

But I'd rather move up from 50 cents to a dollar, I can live with $2 for the next jump even.

If I'm hot or god forbid, hoping for the hail mary, $3 or $5 might be nice.

At least don't let the next bet increment be more than 2x previous one.

Slots you can adjust the number of lines on give you some flexibility, but so many of the newer games are all a fixed bet, if you don't have coin size and number of coins, you are very limited.

club world just sent me a survey of sorts asking what I thought could improve their casinos. I really love them and the only thing I could think of was to mention more payment options for americans. I am thinking if enough of us contacted them asking for more betting flexbility that they would do it if they could. I know that they have changed my betting maximum and minimum amounts as I became a longer term player there. I am thinking that they must be able to control bet sizes and CW is honest enough to do it if you asked I would think.

Also, do you all think that it is RTG wanting you to bet more per spin? My initial thought was that they wanted to make it unappealing to raise your bets, therefore keeping you betting a lower amount per spin so as not to hit bigger payouts. Or maybe it could be something as honest as a bad idea that they didnt think about when they updated their software or however that works. I think some of the honest operators should know if you dont like it. Im pretty sure they spend a lot of time making these games appealing so that we DO play them.
