Hello.

Problem gambler over here, done something stupid. Over the last week I have gambled around 14k on these websites; slotsnbet, jammy back & anoymbet. ... I just wanted to know the best way of going about this to get some of my money back, I contacted monzo & Barclaycard to say I don’t what these transactions are do I tell them it’s gambling or not?

Hello @kishen777 ,

Your issue seems to be about slotsnbet, jammy jack casino & anoymbet. Why have you posted in a thread about Red Lion Casino?
Please let us know.

Either way your post will need to be moved: please see the Forum Rules regarding cross-posting.

Interesting. You could have said that instead. Looking over your other posts I see they are in non-related threads as well.
It think it best to gather all your posts on this subject together in a new thread ... et voila! New thread created.
@kishen777 , please confirm that you see this and can post here.

Yes I can see this max, thank you for that. Hopefully will get some replies now

Why should you get the money back? If you'd have won 100k, would you give the winnings back, because problem gambler?
I totally agree. This is the first time in 3 years I have slipped up unfortunately canes across a gambling sites that are not on Gamstop I didn’t even know this existed until a week ago. Also the reason why I was asking was related to the last thread as it is a fake scam casino but every time money was taken through my card it was done with a different retailer?

Monzo probably won't do anything for you but you can try as it's MasterCard.

You may have better luck with Barclaycard as Visa state all gambling must be coded as gambling transactions and have a valid licence.

Start by raising disputes as they are an unlicensed casino unable to take players in the UK.

Contact the UKGC and get an email confirming they are unlicensed to operate in the UK and they are illegally taking deposits.

Thank you, I’ve done that with Barclaycard already. in terms of monzo I’ve said to them I’ve not made these transactions not mentioned anything to them about it being gambling related. I’ve said that as ive never heard of these transactions and I’ve not made them.

I'd be careful as some people have had accounts blocked for that reason.

They will do it to prevent fraud as you are basically saying there are unauthorized transactions on your account.

Can I ask how much did you spend with Monzo and then Barclaycard?

Edit:

Well this is Jammy Jacks reply so you can see they have no licence whatsoever

I’m going to be honest. So I did £5000 on my Barclays credit card. Did 4.1K on my monzo debit card. And did around 3K on crypto payments (i have acknowledged I’ve lost this and will not bother with that). In terms of my account being blocked I did some of this with my overdraft so hopefully not. Some people have said they’ve got there money back with monzo? Can’t believe I fell in to this trap 3 years of hard work down the drain.

It happens, just remember you went on Gamstop for a reason and this will be the result if you play at any of these dodgy sites.

Keep us posted on how it goes with Monzo and Barclaycard.

Hello. So I’ve been in contact with monzo & Barclaycard. Monzo at first closed my account completely, but have now managed to get refunds of around £900 out of £4200 that I should hopefully get back. My account with monzo is still closed. At first I said I don’t recognise these payments I then went back to them after they had investigated and said I recognise them but they were for a fraudulent casino and have now raised it as a scam. So waiting to hear back from them. In regards to Barclaycard I still haven’t heard anything.

That must be the most convoluted answer to a simple question about licensing that I've ever read. That customer service should be awarded for that :p

It will be interesting to hear if any of this pans out. Good luck and let us know how this goes.
