Just curious about your guys ups and downs?

For me, 2 months ago was the absolute worst I ever experienced.

$3400 lost in a month. With bonuses and free chips its $4000 total.

Casinos I played at during this downswing.

Slotsmagic (NetEnt etc) (approx lost $600)
Slotsmillion (NetEnt etc) (approx lost $1000)
allstarslots (RTG) (approx lost $900)
gowild (MG) (approx lost $200)
Sports Interaction (playtech) (approx lost $600)

This was numerous deposits of $200 and above in these casinos. I took a bonus probably 20% of the time looking for anything different to get me a win.

I just could not win for the life of me. 75% of the time my bet size was $.80-$1.20. The other 25% was $1.40-$2 and the odd dozen spins @ $5.

I was honestly starting to get discouraged. Almost to the point the tinfoil hat was making its way out of my closet ;P Terrible bonus after terrible bonus. Could barely ever get above my start balance. Moving from high variance to medium variance games. Nothing was working.

I decided one more shot with $600. So I bought 3 $200 prepaid cards and decided to try a different casino. My government casino and deposit $200 and see how it goes. If it didnt go good, decided where to use the other $400. And if I lost. Time for a break. A very very long break.

Upswing. Thank god. Finally. I have had all these wins in a row without a loss since my losing streak.

Im glad it came because it could have very easily not have.

I have a budget of around £20 - £40 per day (dependent on amount of work coming in etc)

It is nice to report that in almost 14 years of play, this has more or less averaged out to lose 50% of the time and win 50% the other.

Also I find that roughly 2 in 3 sessions busts really fast (or quite fast) and the other offers me the reason I deposit 'Game time and enjoyment'

I have just come through' however a horrible patch.

Forget the averages above lol, IIRC I had 12 EVIL deposits across various casinos on the trot! No game time, no bonus rounds, no base game hits over 10x, NOTHING

Now this has never happened since I started out in 2002/2003 So you can imagine my frustrations!

Finally broke the cycle this weekend gone, £25 in to Casino Luck (Saturday) - £200 out and 6-7 hours total game time (not in one go lol) and then 'like buses' Next Casino (Sunday) - £20 in, £110 out!

In January to April '15 I lost over 10 thousand Euro while I won 9 thousand Euro during May to Juli.

Many times you have the winnings compensate for most of the losses but there are times where you get clobbered so hard that you could throw your monitor out of the window while there are times where you almost feel sorry for the poor casinos because you win so much.

Ups and Downs

Always good to have a win and great you made it back on the upswing! Sometimes though I get a bit down when the upswings just don't offset the downswing times or I feel like it's a rut I can't shake!

There are on the couple of sites I enjoying playing on the most and I trust them/good withdrawals/service and so on but for a while, it felt like when I initially joined and took advantage of welcome bonuses and such, I only ever deposited the minimum needed and when I managed to fulfill wagering requirements, the wins would come hard and fast! It was awesome, I could withdraw my wins and still have a bit to play with but within a few weeks of membership and playing/depositing etc it was as if the wins dried up-no more from favourite/trusted games that seemed to be hot at that start without fail or even trying new games and betting methods like changing up coins/lines bets etc!

Anybody else have similar swings on favourite sites or maybe my good luck just ran out

For me personally it is kinda balanced really.

I also have the well know bad streaks of luck that can last for weeks,no matter what slot or what casino I play.
BUT because I mostly love to play high variance slots sometimes to the brim of sheer frustration because of the long streaks of dry / losing spins, it also means 1 good hit can pay me back all I have lost over the weeks before that.
My absolute best year to date is still 2014 where I have hit so many 1000x + hits and that year I ended actually with some very nice profit overall.

But to balance this out 2015 was not a great year and this was also they year I started to slowly change my play style.
Be happy with smaller withdrawals if in profit,even if it is only 50 bucks,because on the end of the day it is still profit.
Also I learned not to get stuck on 1 slot when it is cold,try changing slots and maybe even different software provider and luck might come back your way.
When hammered by a high variance slot these days I tend to spend my last 50 bucks on lower variance Netent slots and actually this has already proven many times I could make a great comeback and still end up getting my deposits back or even end up with a small profit.

2016 sofar not too bad,think about even on withdrawals and deposits so that is always good.
Some casino's I am particular lucky this year whilst at other casino's I can't win a tenner.

But yeah gambling comes with ups and downs for most of us I suppose.

I too have had downswings but I attribute that to playing high- variance games almost exclusively nowadays, hence I only have myself to blame!

When this band of six or seven games correlate across the board it seems like I can do no wrong, and small deposits become decent withdrawals. Bear in mind this doesn't happen often.

And when all these games go on insane dry spells it's horrible, but that's what you get with variance.

But yeah, it does sometimes feel like your deposit is a mistake from the outset as soon as you've had your 10th spin or so, followed by 'Oh. This seems familiar....like when I busted out last time'.

Perhaps choosing 'safer' games or just trying completely new ones is the best answer. Nothing wrong with mixing things up once in a while

Jan this year was good - first half of feb even better was in profit up until the past 2 weeks

I've did okay over the years. Started out badly (prior to CM), and was stupid enough to reverse and reverse a great win until it was all gone.

I've finished in a profit several years, and prior to 2015, my worse loss was around $600 for the year.

2015 I had a terrible losing streak. Months without a cashout, and only had one decent one. Good enough to get me to Cuba in the fall though, then back to deposit lose mostly. My income had taken a drastic drop, and I think a combination of not being able to take advantage of the best bonuses (because I wanted to play when I did have some spare money), and some greed to not settle for modest wins.

Mine was fairly recent, about two weeks ago. Mentioned it before, but it still rankles like hell

I encapsulated my best upswing and worst downswing in one fell swoop, by getting a £5 free chip up to a cashable £1600.

Unbeknownst to me, this site was actually trustworty and would have paid, but I went on the assumption that they a) wouldn't, or b) I'd broken terms somehow anyway, notably one which stated that had no deposits been made prior to withdrawal, any deposits made after wagering would limit winnings to £20, with the rest forfeitted!

I was convinced the winnings were essentially play money, and started doing fairly moderate £1-2 bets, until I had £200 left to withdraw, just on the off-chance I was wrong.

Turns out they processed this, that's the last bloody time I'm sabotaging my own withdrawal and reading T&Cs!

My very best upswing was between Sep and Nov 2015 I was on fire then. I had several cashouts over 2K. Haven't come close since then. I will have a week or two or maybe 3 of really good luck where I cash out regularly; rarely over €500. I have learned over time that it's best to cash out when you are ahead and see the slots cooling off instead of chasing that big win. If I make a profit I am happy!

I had a good run for a couple of weeks at the tail end of Dec to the start of Jan this year for about 11 days and then poof nothing until this week. I used to do ok until I joined Videoslots, my deposits vanish in minutes, I can't seem to hit features and whatever games I choose just takes and takes. With my win about three weeks ago, I am sitting at about 50% considering the casino race money and cashback. I thought my luck had a slight turn tonight but it was not meant to be, it was gone in a flash, and I had a 26% return on my last game.

I am a low roller, play slots to distract me from my intense work but I am seriously considering giving slots up as it just can't get any worse for me right now.
