I am an old fart who mostly shies away from trying most new slots but I quite fancy the idea of having a bonus hunt slot session over the holidays on about 10 new slots.

So what would be your choice of the best new slot/s of 2024 be to help me compile a list?

I miss awards/polls such as this. Been browsing a few slot sites but none really seem to bother with it anymore, except for one well known site, who landed on Sugar Rush 1000. I don't know if I agree, isn't that just an older slot with higher multipliers. Shouldn't it be something more unique? Then again, 2024 was the year of the sequels and the remakes wasn't it.

Not saying Big Bass is very unique, but Floats my Boat really differs from the rest of them with a very different free spins feature which can be extremely engaging so I would suggest that one. Had some real decent hits on it well - several 1000x's - so that would of course give it extra points from me, but an excellent slot regardless.

Adding a replay where you can see it when it goes off:

It looks like there is quite a bit of variation in the Big Bass sequels. I will start with Sugar Rush 1000 then have a bash at Floaty Boaty :)

After shying away from Hacksaw slots for some time (they were volatile, very volatile. But then Prag started making super volatile slots which made the newer Hacksaws look appealing again), I started playing them again and really enjoyed some of the new mechanics. They aren’t easy to bonus, but it’s no harder than landing a bonus on a Prag. And the super bonus does land in the base game - I’ve managed to get several. If you look at the volatility on the splash pages of the newer Hacksaws, you’ll see that most are rated 3/5 in terms of volatility (that’s today’s definition of volatility though).

Here are some recommendations:
  • Le Bandit/Le Pharaoh/Ze Zeus (all three have very similar mechanics)
  • Tai the Toad (I’ve hit the four scatter super bonus several times on this game)
  • Wings of Horus (my current fav)

some stupid games in 2024 nothing make me thing oh I will make deposit to play this new game, Merry Xmas everyone

I did hit a 1500x BASE GAME win on NLC's Brute Force the first time I played it.
It looked like it was barely going to scrape 100x (maybe it would have been an idea to check the paytable before I started playing)

And I thought San Quentin 2 wasn't too bad either.

Obviously, being NLC, I was playing at 20p a spin. And I would avoid the "x-bet" stuff on those.
It gets way too expensive and right quick.

I know you have been partial to a bit of Mental, Geordie lad. So maybe you might wanna have a brief look at those?

But obviously, the advice (as always) is "approach with caution". Best of luck mate.

I did a bonus hunt yesterday using many of the slots in this thread plus some from the thread Guntis suggested and I more than doubled the cost of the bonuses. However I will give Brute Forcyth a bash today.
And a merry chrimbo to you :)

Any standouts?
Le Bandit's bonus round gave over 1000x win but I think that that was just a lucky hit. I would add none of them to my regular play list. I keep a record of every gameplay in every casino in my little black book so it was easy to find the results of the bonus hunt :)

I didnt like Rise of Olympus Origins when I first tried it but it was my most played new release this year.

I woke up early, made myself a tea and played a slot that I had bookmarked in VS to revisit. Man v Gator has kept me awake for the past hour or more. So much so that I was thinking that they got their math wrong. I found it quite fun, it does not blow your wad too quickly- unlike some I have met online - and has great potential in the base game. Well over an hour and it has kept me up still and it has yet to give me its bonus experience. Elk has produced a very entertaining game as far as I am concerned
