My better half likes the whole streaming thing and has been thinking about doing it sometimes on his freetime and maybe a bit of affiliating. Well I think when you stream, you have links for your viewers to sign up through and special deals like an affiliate has to entice people to sign up.

He contacted slotsmillion and a few others. And all the other casino's had open arms but a strange response from slotsmillion was ..we arent interested in any more sign ups.

Dont casino's want more players I thought?

I have no idea about this affiliate stuff and I asked my fiance what that meant as he's abit more familiar and he just laughed and said who knows.

Any idea on why they said this. I always found slotsmillion to be pretty weird anyways

Slotsmillion is reviewed at Casinomeister - before signing up, you might want to read it.
Its been a while sinse I signed up to become an affiliate at any site. I do have many affiliate accounts albeit.

Some was instant and some took a week or two, with th enew regulations they have to be more careful but its rare a casino turmns you flat out especially for the reason mentioned.

Did they state they would be streaming ? some want website links etc due to the spam side of things.

When becoming an affiliate you have to show evidence in the form of a web site or an existing stream. Once you have filled in the application form, any decent brand will put your account into 'pending' for 24-72 hours while they review your site etc.

Couple of years ago when I started, I had to build a web site first then apply for affiliate status. Seemed a weird way of going about it, but made sense :)

Once you start streaming and affiliating, you'll be contacted by every casino on the planet offering prizes and increased commissions if you switch to them.

Hi lockinlove,

This post is 2 months old but as you put the topic back on the table another time few days ago, I suppose it's best if I also answer here to make things clear for those who read this thread.

Our answer was not that we were not interested in any new (affiliate) sign ups -who would be?- but that we were not interested in doing any new streaming for now instead.

Answering this post reminds me of another, named "Opinion about fake money streamers?" (cf below) that I followed some time ago. I actually thought that even you, you were not so into it anymore or at least against those playing with fake money.

i have completely stopped going on twitch. I find it to be way too negative and ego driven. Way too many affiliates and clicky. I havent been there in weeks now and wont return.

What turned me off is I saw a stream where mods were bullying people. Then in another stream some crazy racism against jews. That went into another stream and there was a moderator just banning people like crazy that werent doing anything wrong and the room was fighting. I was going to say something but thought why bother. Ive never been banned or anything so didnt even want to go there.

I noticed it getting really bad for quite some time. So anything that gives me a negative vibe, I leave.

I think casinodaddy stream is the best run stream because its calm, relaxing, no fighting or crazy mods but sadly i wont watch another because I am totally turned off of it. Seems like complete poison.

As for us, we've also had our experiences with different kind of streamers, including one of the most famous (CasinoDaddy) and some smaller ones. And to be honest, we are not so comfortable with Twitchers. We think that it can sometime be borderline. Many streamers came to ask for "fake" money to stream SlotsMillion. Some other only ask for a special bonus, which is for instance, what CasinoDaddy did with us and they won (cf video below) and we were all happy. It was good publicity after all but either way, we don't want to do this anymore. At least for the time being.

Hope you'll understand, lockinlove

Cheers,
Thomas - SlotsMillion.

Yes, its true that I have kind of wavered back and forth on it but instead of giving up on it, I just decided to stop going into the channels that were turning me off. Thats the only way to tolerate it to be honest. And I do not go into the larger channels its just too much crap.

I do respect your stance now that you explained it and I find it incredibly disturbing to constantly hear about all this fake money crap going on. I wish you expose them, they deserve it :)

I am glad to hear you guys turned away fake money requests. It shows you are one of the good guys unlike some other reputable casino's.

I am glad that there still is casino that does look at the streams in a different light, hats of to you there. There is many that would chuck you a arm and a leg to stream from there site.

I am not saying the sites that are streamed are bad but boy it does make you wonder sometimes what is really going on.

In any case I ave not been about much recently so whats the news with U.K players on your site??

Here is a hypothetical question for you.

What would and more important could you do if I streamed my play on Twitch on your casino without asking for your permission first.

Streaming? Well I don't blame Slotsmillion or any other casinos for being cautious about it. As Spintee said there's lots of bellends and fakers which a casino may not be wanting association with plus drunkenness and even swearing, something which I wouldn't do.

Then there's the 'raffles' to encourage sign-ups. Not only are these illegal in many countries as they depend on a purchase thus need licensing, but if the UKGC or someone else whips the a$$ of Twitch or YT or the casinos about it, not only does the Twitchers' income go in 10 seconds but they are left with a gambling habit and no means to fund it which can lead to problems. I've seen some of these Tw*tchers start off at 20p spins then lately they're doing £50 spins on roulette, or even more or on BJ which is indicative of needing a bigger and bigger buzz.

The last and possibly most prudent observation is the traffic Twitchers bring. If they're on a CPA (cash per acquisition) deal of say £75 or £100 for each NDP (new depositing player) who makes a £25+ plus deposit then this will likely cost the casino dearly because when incentivized like so:

"Use my link and sign up and deposit £25+ for a chance to win 500 euros cash or a new laptop etc."

that's ALL the NDP is likely to ever do, so the casino is paying a fortune for poor-quality low revenue players.

So yes, I can fully appreciate the reluctance of any casino to get involved.

P.S. Interlog: every affiliate programme is aware of the traffic source for their acquisitions and the siting of any of their affy links. Recently I was Skyped by one affy manager (happily!) asking me why I had had such a glut of NDPs over a couple of days. I was being reticent when 5 minutes later she got back to me "Ah! you've got us on your YT channel..." so they can instantly tell where your links are sited.

So, what could/would they do?

IF they didn't like it, they'd just say:

1. "we don't want YT links, remove them please but you'll be paid for those NDP's"
2. "we don't like those links, they break rule xx-xx, remove them immediately and you re NOT getting paid for NDP's signed up with that link."
3. "you've brought our site into disrepute, your account is closed and all payments being retained by us."

#1 is the most likely for a first offence, 2 if they're being a bit arsy about it and 3 if they really detest Tw*itching.

This is why I only watch JG Slots live streams and sometimes Rocknrollas I know that they aren't fake. I also love watching pre-recorded videos from The Bandit, Jimbo and Craig and of course yours Dunover. I do get a lot of entertainment out of them. Now every time a wild joker hat comes up on Joker Pro when I play it I hear "Sticky Wild Bullshit" in my head lol.

I gave up on Casino Daddy quite fast due to the sheer amount of affy spams in the chat and some of the casinos that they promote are dodgy as all get out and are leading newbies down the wrong path in my opinion. When I used to watch them I mentioned Casinomeister quite a lot and I don't think they liked that much. Also they really aren't all that familiar with the t and c's of the casinos that they promote which is bad.

A few other streamers I have watched off and on are kinda like that so it's only JG slots for me and a little Rocknrolla from now on and of course the pre-recorded sessions I mentioned above.

I get all of your points.

I have streamed from Rizk before, don't have an affiliate account there and have no intention of promoting them. I don't have an affiliate account with Slotsmillion (I actually only promote 3 casinos these days).

So I am guessing that there is not a lot both of these casinos could do if I were to stream one of my sessions on Youtube and/or Twitch other than perhaps close my casino account.

PS: In terms of casinos knowing the source of the link, most affiliates these days link to their website that in turns then directs to the casino (I do the same) so the source of the player as far as the casino is concerned is my website. Nothing to hide here, it makes it easier in case that the affiliate link changes because you only have to change one link on your website and, more important, any old links elsewhere still direct correctly.

If you simply stream with no affiliate links showing I don't think there's anything a casino can do about it, and to them it's free publicity.
However I think that changes if you were to stream casumo and send customers to rizk.
I still don't think the casino would be able to do anything but it wouldn't be very ethical by the streamer.

Personally I've never streamed casino but I've been thinking that instead of affiliating I'd just be using refer-a-friend and stream exclusively casinos that offer this, like Chanz or Stargames. That's also because I'm not allowed to affiliate in my current position, however I think RaF would be in the grey zone, as money aren't directly going to me but rather into bonuses.

Playing one casino and sending players to a different casino is a bad one in my eyes, Its like eating on a fast food but but telling people to eat at other places. Any refer a friend scheme is a scam in my eyes. You would be lucky to get £10 - £20 IF your friend deposited and thats normally stuck into the bonus side of things,

Best thing to do is speak to an affiliate and ask them would they cut you in on any referrals as most if not all affiliate accounts can set up referral names/link's such as name one link (your name) and any clicks from that link would show in there account and know how many people signed up/deposited from that particular link.

Or some casino have an auto affiliate link, I know VS had had a direct link but I know they made a few changes so unsure the score with that now. Its pretty sick thinking you referred a few big players and there spending thousands a month or week and all you got from it was a £10 bonus

While I see your point about "accidentally" inviting big players, it wouldn't really matter as I'm not allowed to affiliate by myself in my current position.

Not planning to lose my job over a whale or two.
