Sorry, this came in while I was gone.

Nope, the last time I went to the Oktoberfest was when I was a GI over ten years ago. It's mainly for the tourists, and the beer is actually much better where I live

I go to the "Bierwoche" (Beer week) in Kulmbach. It's a relatively small city 35,000 with five excellent breweries.
