While I am getting use to the forum, I just wanted to say bear with me, until I get the hang of it... Sometime's I've managed to remember to click ''Thanks'' and sometimes I haven't, and I don't want to offend anyone who didn't get a proper post thanks as a result of my forum newbie-ness.

Anyone want to give me some proper forum ettiquette (sp?) tips and advice is more than welcome to. I want everyone to earn their proper thanks/rep points if it's important to them.

On another note, what do you all think about a Casinomeister official ''chat room'' ?? Sometimes while I'm not playing, I'd just like to 'chat'. What do you think CM?

I think so too..

Having an official CM chat room, I think would offer a way for people to get to know each other better and socialize when we aren't playing. Or share experiences we are having while playing in real time. While not necessary, it would be fun!

It would also be a good place for Reps to communicate too. For instance if the Inet or Clubworld Rep had a ''open chat'' session, where we could have live discussions about the casino (with limitations of course, not as a place to beat up on a rep because you had a bad experience).

Just an idea!

ROBWIN, where are you? I always thought you were supposed to thank posts that are helpful....regardless of when, where and by whom it was posted.

By giving "Thanks" SnowKatt and I will quote the Meister here "This gives everyone in the forum a chance to give credit to well thought out posts, to show appreciation for a stupid-ass joke or a helpful tip, etc." and I would add to that a pic of a nice screenshot or you might want to thank someone who has responded to a question you asked where they gave you a helpful answer, or where someone say like "Jetset" for example has posted a news article that you thought was interesting...

On another note...you also don't need to thank everyone just because they are talking to you either,,but rather for something you felt useful to you...could have just been the fact that someone cheered up your day and made you laugh you know...just use your own judgement but don't go hog wild with thanking everyone...;)

The best peice of advice I can give you is to read lots of posts and get to know peoples' personalities, this way you will know how to approach them in a post. Often times people come in here (not saying you ) and start yapping at people like they know them their whole life. You have to ease into this site because gamblers are a bit different than a regular forum. THere are people in here to have fun, there are people in here for serious advice and dont like to partake in jokes and nonsense and then there are those who like both.

If you take the time and get a chance to get an idea of the personality, you wont have any probems. This place hates bragging and bullshitters the most and like honest people who are not trying to be someone they arnt:)

Sometimes it may be difficult but we must try to refrain from transforming our opinions, however correct they may be, into personal attacks. Keep to the subject and if you feel there is a need for someone to reconsider his/her options put it in a nice way. The thumbs up/smiley signs can cushion any strong words that you write.

As for rep points, they may not necessarily mean anything but many of us do like being appreciated. Other than the Thanks button, you can also click on the scales and add reputation to other members with a thank you note as well.

Snowkatt, you will like it here, I am sure. All opinions are welcome so dont be afraid of voicing what you think is right. just read it in draft form before sending it out to ensure the tone is not menancing..

And again I like to wish you the very best.
Just stay with us and have some fun.
You don't need to gamble to be part of a great group of people.

I wasn't sure where to put this, so admins please move it where it's most appropriate.

In the short time I've been a member, I've grown fond of so many of you and have enjoyed all your helpful advice, and your wit and humor, and how you look out for one another like a family. For that I want to say thank you all so much!

I'm going to poke my head in from time to time and say hi, and read up on how you're all doing. But I've decided it's time to let go of the gambling. Over the weekend I uninstalled all the gambling software. When I weigh the money and time lost against the odds of those games, it's more of a gamble than I can afford to continue with.

Please be careful, people. That it doesn't become too much of a priority in your life. Or feel that you must do it in order to feel like ''one of the group''.

Love to all!

SnowKatt~ :)
