I’m posting here to see if anyone has experienced something similar with Betfair.
I recently created a Betfair account and everything seemed normal at first. However, right after I attempted to make my first deposit, my account was suddenly closed.
When I contacted customer support, they told me the account was closed on “business grounds” by their Account Security team. They also said the decision is final and that they cannot provide any further explanation.
The strange thing is that I honestly don’t know any reason why my account would be closed. I haven’t used the account for anything yet.
The only thing I can think of is that I tried to make the deposit using a card that apparently blocks transactions to gambling sites. I’m not sure if that could have triggered something on their side.
Has anyone had a similar situation with Betfair?
Were you able to get your account reopened or get a proper explanation?
I’m also considering filing a formal complaint and escalating the issue if necessary.
