Ascot Casino

I did reply to the OPA about a week ago and haven't heard back. It was 22nd Novemer that I replied to them. What you sent the OPA that was forwarded to me is the first time you told me that you wouldn't be giving the promo chips (though you obviously owe me the promo chips). You hadn't responded to any of my emails for three weeks! Steve already had all my emails I sent to you and your replies.

I didn't make allegations that you cheated. The results were very unlikely and I was wondering how other people did.

I don't know if Ascot is losing money from their latest promotion or not. They're used to be one of the faster casino on pay out and normally it only take them a week to process. But the last cash out being going on three weeks and they haven't respond to my email about why it take so long this time.

It always seems to take a few weeks for them to pay me the last few months. They have never really explained why it takes so long.

I have found out that in order to process my withdrawal request, I needed to send them a "Credit Card Agreement Form" as well as a photo of my drivers license and a photocopy of the front & back of my credit card via fax or e-mail. This certainly seems to me that it opens up the possibility of identity theft because of security breaches in e-mail & fax transmission. If I had know about the requirements of these photocopies, I never would have made a deposit in the first place. It has been over 3 weeks since I submitted my request.

Unfortunately, many casinos do this because of the high proportion of consumer fraud alone. Some casinos plan on losing up to 15% of their revenue due to consumer fraud. This is something that the casinos (at least the ones who care about their customers) are trying to solve. They all know that no one likes to do this because everyone complains about it, and you're right, stolen identity is a big issue. Online casinos should be really trying to tackle this problem in a big way...

Bryan

Dear John B,

If you have not submitted your Credit Card Agreement Form already, please do so. Believe me, I want you to receive your funds A.S.A.P.

However, there has been a sudden surge in credit card fraud during the past year and a half. I understand that many new online casinos do not require any kind of I.D. verification, although they will soon. Once they see the the lists of charge backs for a variety of reasons, they too will require some type of Credit Card Agreement form.

For this reason, we added (last year) rule number 13 in our Rules and Regulations of Play at Ascot Page with a link to it posted plainly on the first page of our web site:
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

It states the following:

"13. The Casino shall not be required to pay any money in respect of withdrawals unless and until proper verification of the member's identity shall have been given to the Casino."

Thank you for it opportunity for the clarification.

Sincerely,

Amanda Vanderbilt

Dear All,

It's unfortunate, but I find myself pressed to include Ascot Casino in our rogue section. Their customer service has become unresponsive to customer complaints, to include emails from me (which have also been sent to Ms Vanderbilt).

Either their customer service is poorly trained or understaffed.

Get it together.

Bryan

Sirius and Mary,

I am am new gambler with the internet whom frequently reads the message boards and I have lately read alot on Ascot(along with other casinos). I am asking out of plain curiusity, How did you extract all this information? Anyhow, I will continue reading your posts on which casinos to play and not to play.

Thanx,

Hamlet

The registration info from the domain names can be found from a 'whois' search engine. There is one at Link Removed (invalid URL)

The UK domains can be searched at www.nic.uk

I then do www.google.com and www.altavista.com searches on information from domain registrations to find other web sites. I may also check newspaper, investor information, and press release sites for mentions of companies, individuals, or software. Sometimes when you put all this info together an interesting picture emerges, for example, to have a gaming software company changing names every couple of years or the same people registering new company names, SEC registrations, or fake "third party suppliers" to gouge their licensees. (vide Thrive Media)

Here is a list of potential "sister sites" to Ascot--all managed by the Max Skyweb Corporation. Many are Japanese-language sites. They may have formerly used Goldplay sfotware; GoldPlay's official policy is that they do not offer their software to sites that accept bets from the USA and maybe that is one of the reasons they parted ways with Ascot. Long ago, I signed up on Twinkling Star and was so struck by the overall cruddiness and ridiculous money-eating odds that I never returned.

That's right! Cyber Cosmos and Glden Pyramid were among the first casinos I ever played at!

Curiosity led me to run a full check on my extensive list of Microgaming operations, and there is no doubt - these are (or were when I logged them) all Microgaming casinos.

I have Max Skyweb annotations against many of them and I remember speculating at the time that Max and MGS were one organization. Skyweb was I think in the Grenada jurisdiction before it became popular.

Very interesting indeed...

Ascot always used Goldplay and I don't think they are connected to the Max Skyweb casinos. I think some people made that link due to Ascot using Goldplay too which isn't very common software.

Max Skyweb never had a good reputation but that didn't stop Goldplay licensing the software to them. They take a long time to pay if they ever do.
