Talking with support staff at a casino (house of Jack and casino mate) that has long pending periods and reversal nags I said I'm done depositing there until they get rid of them or at least allow flushing.

He gave me the usual answer that it's a feature players want.

So let's ask some players: would you prefer instant non reversible payouts or a protracted "pending" period in which you can reverse the withdrawal, for your convenience of course.

I want my money ASAP. Deposits are instant so withdrawals shouldn’t be drawn out longer than necessary. If casinos need more staff to speed up the withdrawal process then get them. They make enough money and they are supplying a service. If some casinos can do it why can’t they all?

It's not a matter of why they can't do it.
They don't want to do it because a huge portion of their profits come from reversed withdrawals.

What some of the slower casinos don't realise is it's costing them players as they migrate to more reputable casinos.

Sounds like you were given a dollop of BS! - What players want my arse, true addicts don't reach the withdrawl button in the first place never mind reversing.

I'm sure I read that this is something that the UKGC will be looking into, hoping their rulings spread to other countries.

10 years ago, sure but in this day and age there is simply no excuse for pending periods.

of course people like long waiting periods. Longer pending times are awesome and they appeal to masses. Most people i know wont play at a casino that processes withdrawals on the same day, thats a fact.

Waiting days for your money is half of the fun when it comes to online gambling. Ive even played at some casinos that process cashouts in minutes, but needless to say i only played there until my first cashout was approved. They were way too quick to approve my cashout that i was honestly offended by it, so naturally i never played there again.

most people want to wait at least 3-7 days before their cashout is processed, but then again we have a minority of players (less vocal ones) that prefer 10+ waiting period instead.

Nothing makes me happier than losing a reversed withdrawal!

Thats just stupid.. why would players wants to wait 48 hours till they see withdraw processed? I dont see any advantage of this for player..
I would NEVER SPEND ANY CENT in casino, which would let me wait 2 days for my cashout, even if they would give me 500 percent bonus for every deposit, lol..
Generally i hate hassle with withdraws.. if you go to some local casino and win, waitress will cashout you within seconds ..then you deposit to some online casino and try to withdraw
and they ask 10 types of documents in HD quality and then let you wait days for YOUR MONEY..
Im making deposits only to online casinos, which are close by local casinos = fast deposit, fast withdraw, no hassle..
All casinos which doesnt take care about best customer service to players will cropper by the time..there are 100s of casinos which will cashout you in minutes..

Well aren't these 2 slightly seperate issues ?
Instant cashouts - yes please .
48 hour cashouts - umm no I won't play there .
Reversible withdrawals - well if cashouts are quick anyway (<1 hour) then I guess it's sort of ok to be able to reverse but I think it should be via customer service and not just press a button . I basically think all withdrawals should be locked after 15 minutes
48 hour pending periods - haha never depositing at your casino

When I decide to deposit at a casino, how fast they pay is my main concern. I think reversal of withdrawals should be eliminated and casinos should pay fast. I think the speed of payouts is one of the main reasons why Videoslots is on top. Would really love them to do away with the cancel withdrawal option though.

When 32 Red decided to go down the long pending period and not allow players to flush I stopped playing with them as much as I did. 24 hours or longer pending periods without the option to lock the withdrawal benefits only the Casino and not the player and anybody that says different is full of B.S. in my opinion.

I can't believe a single player in the world would say "Yeah i love to withdraw my £400 winnings but then have the option to wait 5 days to get them so that I can decide to spunk it all back through my favourite Wazdan game when I'm pissed on a weeknight and there is no football on"....

I wonder if there is anyone on this forum that can put a cogent argument together as to why they are a good idea...

And no @goatwack I'm not talking about one of your sarcastic replies ;)

The only way (and I really had to think about this one) it could be of benefit is if the idea was tweaked slightly.

Scenario, Player A has a £200 balance, wants to leave some to play, withdraw some and leave some to play later in the week without having to re-deposit.

The request a £100 withdraw, plus another £50 which they request to go into "pending" and then leave £50 to play, which they later lose.

The £100 is processed straight off.

The £50 they REQUESTED to go into "pending" (need a new word here) is locked away in a sort of mini casino "ISA" where the player at the time of the transaction, enters a date they can access it at the earliest (its auto credited to their account on the chosen date but can be withdrawn at any time prior to the players chosen date and will be processed immediatly (more or less) just not wagered)

Hard to explain over text talk but I feel this idea could actually work, both for players and the casinos without getting into anything unethical. (reasons could be budget shot, something for the weekend, break up their sessions etc etc)

Why wouldn't that be a great idea.....scrap pending and have a facility when on a barnstorming run of luck to be able to 'safeguard' small amounts for a later session.

Luck is finite but bad sessions aplenty. Imagine having those rainy day funds available, as well as for those times one has mercilessly spunked their entire gambling budget in a weekend!

I cannot imagine anyone wanting a reverse period, if you really want to play more then make a fresh deposit.
It solely prays on those whom struggle to control gambling and find it most immoral.
The ukgc should make the lock withdraw feature mandatory for all, but that won’t happen as profits trump everything else...
They are more bothered about banning auto spin on monte...
