Are all 'versions' of a particular slot, the same on all sites?

What i'm meaning is.. if i play a particular game on one site, would i be playing EXACTLY the same game on a different site, ie using the same RNG, the same reel strip layout etc.

I play IGT slots most of the time, and notice that their RTP in the paytables of all the sites i've used is not a fixed number, but a range, eg 91.5% to 95.4%.
Does this mean that different casinos use different versions of a particular game, with a different RTP?

I can play on some sites, and get fairly frequent 'decent' bonuses and wins. and even if i don't always make a withdrawal, I've had an hour or so's entertainment for a small deposit

But if i play the same slot on certain other sites, they ALWAYS just eat money, only give small wins and very few bonuses, and when a bonus does eventually appear, it's usually a very low payout. so i only get 10 or 15 minutes 'entertainment'
Obviously, I've learned to avoid these particular sites.

So.. Is it just coincidence, or could there be a difference?

For certain online software there is a different RTP setting, off the top of my head IGT, WMS, RTG and Aristocrat all have different RTP settings available to them. You can always ask what RTP version the site is using.

We know that Jackpot Party uses the lowest RTP on their WMS slots because of the site wide jackpots.

So does that mean that each individual casino operator 'purchases' the software at a particular fixed %RTP.
Or once they have the software, can they then vary it at will? (obviously, only between the set upper and lower limits)

IGT sets the % that the site requests then it can't be changed by the operator.

All sensible operators would choose teh highest percentage as this should allow the player to have a longer session with a few more wins which he will remember as a happier session than if it is over too quick, at the end of the day they are going to have your deposit either way but you get more entertainment so are more likely to go back. Anyone offering the low percentage is shortsighted.

Some other operators (eg Microgaming) set the TRTP of the game at the development stage and that is definitely the best way from the customers point of view, I think.

It's quite unnerving to know that operators of RTG casino's have the ability to change the TRTP of their slots on a week-by-week basis if their cashflow requires it ... maybe they do do this, maybe they don't, but it is behaviour like that which gives the industry a bad name and probably also factored into demands for a regulated industry eg in the USA...

I quite like to play some IGT games myself at times. I'd be interested to hear the games/sites which your basing your opinion on if you'd be willing to share...? Do you play at Sky Vegas, maybe? I started off playing there quite a lot when I first began gambling on-line but very rarely bother anymore after far, far too many unbelievably bad sessions... I'm not saying it's rigged, but it definitely FELT rigged to me too often for me to still be giving them my money...

I've found Grosvenor to be even worse - my god their blackjack absolutely takes your breath away it's so outrageous at taking your money, if I had to suggest one casino that should be audited it would be them for sure... !

Actually, I've found sky vegas to be one of the better ones, but I've only been playing there for a few month, i've found Mr Green's to be ok as well
But the worst ones have been Betuk.com, 21.co.uk and pinkcasino.co.uk. I later realised that they all, coincidentally, belonging to the same operator
