Apple to kill off i-tunes

Apple has finally signalled that it will kill off i-tunes after many years of speculation it is expected to be announced next week that apps will be used instead.

I-tunes has been declining every year since the emergence of Spotify and the boom in streaming.

Apple has officially confirmed its plans to phase out iTunes.

Following months of rumors, the firm revealed it will be killing off the 18-year-old music library in favor of its three newer entertainment apps: Apple Music, Apple Podcast, and Apple TV.

But, it didn't say exactly how this will affect your existing downloads, or when the transition will take place.

Apple instead promised the new system will include ‘all the features you’d expect from iTunes, all while being blazingly fast.'
