Maybe the casino is the one having the issue. Maybe try customer service to see what the problem may be.

Hmmm....having the same issue. Can't deposit at two places I've tried today. Hoping it's just a problem with NetSpend being down or something.

I talked with chat, she said it was a Netspend problem, I didn't believe her...lol...so I went to quicktender and it was denied there too...so it was/is a netspend problem.

Haven't used mine lately... sometimes it gets denied... and sometimes it goes thru...
I do recommend that you monitor your NETSpend balance on line following failed transactions. There are times that it will come out of your account, but not go to the casino, and end up floating around in cyberspace...

I'm seeing this problem in a few places today and I've had problems using my ns for a month now or so. couldn't get into micro at all with it - only some rtgs. something's going on and I don't like it. 
p.s. I have phone alerts which notify immediately on any change of balance. (ns)

Has anyone heard any news on why netspend will not work anymore? I've tried for 2 days now and I can't find any casino that will accept the card. I was using netspend prepaid visa gift cards. I wonder if they have now fixed them not to work on online gambling?

Still can't get my gift card (non-reloadable) to work anywhere either. I used one on Saturday and it worked fine, but couldn't get this new one to work yesterday or today. It would seem doubtful they could block usage at all the places we're trying (at the same time), unless they've been making a list for quite some time, and just implemented the whole list. Let's hope they're just having issues in general. I have noticed there are two different banks used for Netspend. Most seem to use "Inter National Bank", but there are also some that use "Meta Bank". Wonder if that makes a difference as to which ones are working or not. Has anyone tried to use their card for "regular" purchases with any success?
I posted in another thread that UIGEA officially becomes effective 12-1-2009. I have already experienced the closing of a bank account in September pursuant to the above so there will be future obstacles.
How severe?? I have no clue other than what I recently experienced!!
No clue if prepaids will be or are being effected. I am more familiar with non-prepaids and have ceased on my own accord after a recent conversation with BOA. They know everything imo,fwiw, as I just listened!!

I call the customer service and got a hold of a live person. I was told the proccessor is down since yesterday. She told me she think it will be up running again tomorrow.

Sorry LooneyTunez missed this one. Didn't try to use it yesterday but did see similar problems in a couple other forums yesterday. Am going to try it tonight though.
Just remembered could not use ns directly at microgaminings recently but worked at rtg. I generally only use it to deposit into my wallet anyway so wasn't too inclined to raise a hoot.

I've had days where NetSpend is just down and they never post anything on their website. Like when the security blocks your card and don't bother calling you even sending you a message through their website message system.
I've had mine denied at some casinos where it was always accepted about a week anna half ago. But works fine at QuickTender.

No but after my NetSpend blew up - Link Outdated / Removed - I found an "Only1 Visa" (also issued by Meta Bank) when I couldn't find another NetSpend and it's fine for QuickTender, at least.
NetSpend was a listed deposit method at many online casinos not that long ago so if they are killing the dealio themselves then I think it's to make people have to switch to other Visas issued by Meta Bank that charge a monthly service charge in additioin to everything else. Like my new "Only1 Visa".
No difference which bank issues the card but when NetSpend goes down they never bother to let anyone know. Not merchants, not cardholders, nobody. You have to call and talk to someone to find out cuz no clues on the website either.

!!The Simon info. would be interesting if convenient. Their ties to the NBA (especially with the league crackdown on gambling after the Tim D. officiating/fixed game per se scandal and his subsequent prison sentence) were really the basis for my shock over SPC's slightest possible indirect tie to any type of gambling!

Maybe if you had money on your NetSpend prior to 3:12 PM PST cuz thats when I loaded my NS and you can't even get their site to display at www.netspend.com, now, just a "IE cain't do it" error msg.

The only delay I had this week was it took 5 days for my transfer to the card to show up instead of two. Did not see this thread. Now I know why.

Has anyone had an issue where the only had like a $0.05 balance and somehow a merchant was able to push through a charge for $3.00? Thus creating a shortage in the account. I never have authorized this merchant to debit my account in the first place. So I ended up sending in a lost/stolen request, but otherwise I haven't figured out how they could create a negative balance.

Naw the charge came out of great britan. The descriptor was direct marketing. They said it was for some naughty site I never signed up for. Yet how they got authorization for only a nickel balance is beyond me.

NS will allow up to 10.00 overcharge so you can actually overdraw the card to a negative 10.00 balance. I know i abuse it frequently
