Manitobans can now play with confidence at a safe, secure and local online gambling site

Winnipeg, Manitoba, January 23, 2013 - Manitoba's first regulated online gambling site - PlayNow.Com, launched today. Manitobans now have a safe and secure way to play a hand of poker or enjoy the excitement of roulette - online in Manitoba.

PlayNow.com offers a range of games that are both new and familiar to Manitobans, including live poker, video poker, slots, Blackjack and roulette, as well as live sports betting on a variety of leagues, tournaments and events. Players can look forward to live bingo and the availability of lottery products arriving later in 2013.

"We are pleased to offer Manitobans a reputable and safe online gambling option," said Winston Hodgins, President and CEO of Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries. "Players can be confident in the extensive safety and security measures that are in place to protect their personal information, their bets and their deposits." But what really sets PlayNow.com apart is that players must register to play using an account based system. This provides an excellent environment to encourage responsible play with customized responsible gambling tools and information.

"PlayNow.com offers our customers some truly distinctive products, such as live poker that connects players from Manitoba, British Columbia and Quebec," says Carolin Taubensee, Executive General Manager, eGaming at Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries. "We are confident that Manitobans will really enjoy playing on this exciting site, which is based on British Columbia Lottery Corporation's (BCLC) PlayNow.com platform. Manitoba residents who are 18 years or older may register to play on the site.

Revenues from PlayNow.com will be reinvested into Manitoba communities. Three percent of online gambling net income will be provided to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba and two percent will be committed to Manitoba Lotteries' responsible gambling initiatives. The Province will allocate fifteen percent to support expanded provincial programming for Aboriginal sport and recreational activities. The remaining revenue will be directed to the Province of Manitoba to support priority programing in health care, education, community and social services and economic development.

Lets me play some IGT slots
they gave me a $50 token

It's been running for quite a while in BC, haven't heard anyone complain. It's the government lottery, I assume it's safe enough. I am in Ontario, no opportunity for me to check it out in fun mode.

Have no idea what the RTP is however. I suspect it is not high, I couldn't find it on their website anywhere, but maybe it's listed in the game help files.

If you do check it out, give us some feedback. It's been said online gaming will be coming to Ontario, it might well be the same platform.

It has been running out of here for a couple years now, from my understanding RTP is based to what the brick and mortar casino's are set at, between 90-92, there are better choices as far as RTP go, as well it does an Equifax identifier (soft credit bereau) upon registration , only just introduced 8 new IGT games, but up to now has mostly used crappy Orbis games.

One thing is for certain, if you are legit there will NEVER be an issue get paid in full and immediately.

The same thing has been running for a couple of years here in Quebec too. RTP's are in the 92%-96% range. Games are pretty shitty, though (OpenBet Technologies) and it's a damn shame. They only have one IGT slot and it's Cleopatra (the older classic land based slot). Other games are crappy slots like Hulk Hogan and Deal or No deal.

The only good thing about it is that you know it's 100% legal and legit and you're going to get paid if you win.

wait, what?..Canadian accessible IGT :D

You got it !! :)

Probably a little land based leverage considering we have so many casino's here with loads of IGT slots.

On a derail, I have been playing those WMS G+ slots, like the King and the Sword and Robin Hood, huge potential, won over 3k last week in Vegas and another grand yesterday here at home.

I've not WDd on any WMS yet, but have had some good play time.
I'm guessing these IGT sites are province specific, or are they for any ol' Canuckle-head regardless of province?

As far as I know yes, its all of Canada.

Playnow is only offered in BC and Manitoba right now. When BC was implementing the product, they planned on leasing the site to other provinces. I know Ontario is working on it. And Quebec is linked into the poker portion of it, just with different branding.

The slot selection is pretty poor. The IGT games available are all older.

And you can fund via interac. Which is dangerous.

Problem with this is now that the provinces are starting to get on board with online, it wont take much longer for them to make off shore sites illegal for Canadians. While it may or may not be legal now, it definitely won't be once all the provinces launch their sites.

Provide feedback if you do join.

My findings are Openbet(Orbis) are tight. Free spins will appear frequently when it is hitting. The free spins will become a nuisance after you experience the payouts.

Cleopatra pays out relatively well but there are definite dry spells.

The IGT are a welcome addition to the website.

Siberian Storm is Hi Variance.
Coyote Moon is VERY HI Variance.
Kitty Glitter is mid-HI Variance.
Fire Opals is Hi Variance.
Elvis is HI Variance.
CATs is mid-HI Variance.
100,000 Pyramid is Mid-low Variance.
Davinci Diamonds is Mid-HI Variance.

All in my opinion. Does my Analysis correlate to others?

Anyone have opinions about Coyote moon especially.
