Anthony Joshua Vs. Andy Ruiz 2

I'm not sure either of them are that good - the division is between Fury and Wilder really. Joshua was fortunate to beat Klitshcko who simply ran out of steam after knocking Joshua down in round 6 and couldn't go after him to finish it. The fact is Ruiz is a bar-room brawler and will land punches which Joshua has shown he doesn't handle well.

Fury was robbed with a draw against Wilder when he was clearly way ahead despite getting knocked down in round 11, and he can box better than any of them, Wilder punches harder too so overall this is like a bout between the 3rd. and 4th. best heavyweights.

If Ruiz stays wise of the 'reach and dodge' tactic Joshua will surely use this time to stay of out range while landing punches himself, I say Ruiz again.

I quite like AJ - I think he has massive potential. He is a hard hitter and can do some damage.

IMPO, Ruiz looked and acted too nice - Maybe that's just him. Going into the fight Joshua underestimated him given his friendly demeanor and probably his physique too.

The only way to settle whether Wilder, Fury, Ruiz or even Joshua are better boxers is to pair them up in the ring together.

Wilder is WILD with his punches whilst Fury is a more tactical measured boxer. On the night any one of them can drop the other.

I think Ruiz got into Joshuas head already - He doesn't know how to be aggressive towards the Taco Man - He looks a genuinely nice guy :)

IT was great seeing Anthony Joshua humbled by Ruiz, in fact Ruiz will smash that bum again Saturday.

Yes the division is humdrum but it's been like that since the turn of the century. I'd rather watch Middleweights like Canelo or Mayweather do their thing than most of today's Heavyweights......

Saying that, Tyson Fury is a rare breed I feel. He'd school Wilder like he did first time round if he wasn't robbed.

And what's not to love about this. Klitschko's clearly rattled!

As a big boxing fan, I agree with Goatwack. It was nice to see AJ lose to Ruiz. But my hubby has a point, the 2nd time around, the loser always comes back stronger and smarter. So it will be interesting to see...

Why do you guys not like AJ.... or is it just a matter of choosing a fighter you prefer?

I think he is one of the better young boxers out there. He isn't one to showboat and has improved dramatically from some of his amateur days on the UK scene.

Ruiz is genuinely nice too.. though AJ excites me.. watching him I see his power and potential.

It's a British thing. The guy's been hyped to oblivion and even started to believe his own hype, that he thought he could do no wrong. So it was inevitable he'd get pwned at some point - just look at what happened to Prince Naseem for example

It goes beyond simple boxing technical skills. I mean Frank Bruno was crap but we all loved him. "Dyou know what I mean Harry mwahaha"

I agree with you Goatwack about the hype, but not the British thing. Any fighter is going to have the sunshine pumped up his arse, to make them seem like they are brighter then the sun. But to me it went to AJ's head, the loss did humble him I give him that.

I think Ruiz is just a better fighter. I have watched both of them since they started. I think Ruiz has a harder punch and blocks better. I think their next battle is going to be a good one!

Anthony Joshua has revealed that he knew boxing was his dream the night he slept over at the gym. The 30-year-old has since then conquered the heavyweight division twice. Joshua tasted his defeat to America's Andy Ruiz in June 2019
