Another Quicktender question

Since this has nothing to do with the other QT question, I started a new thread.

Has anybody ever heard of or had a Quicktender wire confiscated by their bank because they said it came from gambling?

I am not trying to scare anyone cause I have never had any problem at all. This is kinda hypothetical unless it has really happened to someone here.

The bank don't know it's coming from QT, I asked my bank about this a few weeks ago, all they know is that it is an incoming wire and the bank it came from is never even listed on any of my paper statements or online..

The Fed. et al to best of my knowledge are now approx. 15 months past the 270 day deadline and still no final legal guidelines pursuant to UIGEA. Thus, at present I am not aware any legal basis to do such nor would a bank under good management (an oxymoron, sorry) take the liability of such. That probably does not mean they could/would not notify authorities and where applicable file CTR's and/or STR's.

DISCLAIMER FOR ABOVE:JMO which is speculative!!

The Bank I use for wires et al knows because they just know me,lol. I don't advertise it but I have never hid it either. It is a large Bank so I can not speak for the Bank but at least at the branch I deal with, they have never indicated they had any type of problems with me pursuant to the subject matter. I would think if it becomes a problem, they would simply ask me to refrain but who knows!

well my bank allows me to deposit with my atm/visa card so if they did not allow my incoming wires or confiscated them we would have a real brouhaha. They must know what I am depositing, as some sites come across with their names. But I do have a question on something that is really bugging me. Starting in September, I have been charged a fee, supposedly by Visa, for depositing with my card. My bank swears they have nothing to do with the charge, however about a year ago they say Visa started charging when there was a currency conversion. As far as I know, there is not one when I deposit.. are they only charging because it is an international transfer, and why did this start suddenly in September and never before. Does anyone else receive this extra charge, it is even billed seperately.

Yes

Most card issuers have a policy that charges a fee for international transactions. I have always been charged a fee but has never amounted to alot.

No it's not because it is a cash transaction, because of course it is cash, it comes from my checking account. However the international transaction for a cash conversion is what it is titled,, however I was never charged that before september...and if they are accepting the deposit in USD then I should not be being charged for a conversion fee.

I just hope they keep their fee at 30.00 and not raise it again! It still cost me like 45.00 to withdraw by the time it hits my bank account.

I miss the good old neteller days. Gosh, I really miss it :(

a) As mentioned, your bank would just see a wire/ach from "another bank", and would be extremely unlikely to take any action.

b) The draft UIGEA proposals (I haven't seen final ones, either), would require the bank to DENY the transaction, if they can detect it. This would mean it would get bounced back to QT.

CONFISCATING the money would be totally unbelievable. Probably only the result of a federal criminal investigation against *you* specifically.... or not paying your child support.

my first wire from QT,, still waiting

Anyone experiencing delays with QT lately? My last 3 withdrawals took 3 days but this time its 8 days and counting. QT says 'confirmed' but no wire yet.

I am waiting for my first wire from QT.
I was worried that it was taking so long because of the amount I wanted to wire to my bank (which was my whole winnings).. Then I became paranoid that I would send up red flags. So I cancelled the large withdrawal and submitted for something a little less obvious.

I sent an iquiry to the QT helpdesk. I have been waiting since last week for this wire to hit my bank. I did have to send all requested documents which I did immediately! (fyi: best investment I ever made was to buy a scanner/printer/copier/fax that was on sale for $50!!) but I am still waiting.

the reply I got from them today was this
As a rule, it takes 2-3 business days to process the withdrawal + until 5 business days for funds to reach your bank account.
So.. Does anyone know if the money will be in my bank this week?

How is your withdrawal showing up in QT? Something like "user requested"..?

My last WD from QT hit my bank on the 4th business day after requesting it. It sat in "limbo" (of course they want you to reverse it, then they can make more money) for about 48-72 hours before it left QT.

I'd check with the IRS or someone that knows tax/banking laws. I believe banks have an obligation to report wire transfers to the IRS that are over a certain amount....you definitely don't want to get audited next year if you don't claim it.

Yes it should. I have had many withdrawals from qt. If I requested one from lets say Monday, it is in my account by Thursday or Friday:)

It just reads "new".. I had gone in and cancelled the first large amount the other day and submitted for under 4K because I did not want to throw up any red flags.
I have sent them everything they requested twice and again they want to "verify my address".. I have done that. They actually responded last week that they understood that my current living arrangement was "temporary" and that I will be moving back to NH. but .. this just seems like stall tactics now.

How do I get them to understand that where I am living is temporary and that yes my address is different than the one I signed up with because of everything that happened??? People move, people stay places temorarily until they get back on thier feet.!! But with QT it seems like I please one person, then I got through the same thing with the next person.
I actually just gave in and sent an email to inetbet manager.
If the original deposit method wants to find any and every excuse to delay this payment any longer then I would hope Inetbet wouldn't tolerate that!

I would prefer to sent the money back to Inetbet and have them wire in increments, than continue to "hope" QT will wire the money. Only to find another email asking for the same information I just gave them.

It reads new for a day, then it's being processed for a day, then processed.

That's odd.. mine has read "new" all along.
The first one for the fulll amount read "new" the whole time until I cancelled it and submitted for a lesser amount (to avoid red flags) then that read "cancelled" and the new one read "new" and still does"

I am just surprised that I have submitted the requested information 2 or 3 times.. to wake up this morning to the same requests!
What ever you do.. do not change your email, or home address as long as your using QT! I remember when my email address changed.. I could not access my verizon account AT ALL and QT wanted me to verify the change of email by sending them verification from the email address I signed up with:eek: kinda hard to do if I can't access the email account at all!
It took a long time to straighten that out.

I understand they need this verification, etc. Which is why I complied and sent everything they need.
I just hope they can all put thier heads together with the information I provided each of them.. and expedite payment. (I don't know of any crook that would be patient enough to go through this for any amount of money!):smilewink:

It was probably smart to go under 10 grand as I think the bank has to report it, but 3 days is a long time. This is your 1st transaction so they hold onto it a little longer. My 1st transaction took longer too, but the ones after that were 5 days to my account.
