GERMAN TV DEAL FOR PARTY GAMING

German dot.net poker information site proposed

The German media group RTL and London-listed online gambling group Party Gaming have signed an exclusive agreement that will see the launch of a new RTLpoker.de website with advertorial links to PartyPoker.net, Partys free-to-play website. The main RTL.de website has over six million users a month, offering significant cross-marketing possibilities and an enviable access to the German market.

Party Gaming signed a deal to provide British broadcaster ITV with online games recently (see previous InfoPowa report).

In addition to the website possibilities, RTL Interactive will also promote its poker offering and poker school via TV spots on the leading German TV channel RTL TV.

A Party Gaming spokesperson emphasised the deal was not a white label.

We are thrilled to have been chosen by RTL Interactive to provide an online poker school to their users, said Party's CEO Mitch Garber. "This is a hugely exciting opportunity for us to work with the German internet division of Europes leading broadcaster.
