Any thoughts from you guys when it comes to depositing with Amex? For example, would it be a better way for USA players to deposit vs Visa and MC? This might not be a real smart question, however, I always see how Visa/MC are on the "lookout" for suspicious transactions but I don't ever hear anything about American Express. Any input from you informed members would be appreciated.

I have used AMEX in past, however it has triggered a few calls from the "fraud" dept. to verify a transaction. But same has happened with Visa and MC also.....

See that's the thing I was wondering, I have never once received a call from AMEX in regards to a casino deposit. Tons of calls from Visa/MC and I probably have used AMEX more. I guess it has just been my experience.

Amex recently came out with a prepaid card that works real slick. You can either load with a moneypak or with your own bank account. The bank account is the cheaper way to go because of the no fee. Downfall though, you can't use the funds for 5 business days. With a moneypak, 15 minutes after the card has been activated you can throw it onto your American Express card and have the funds available within minutes.
So far no real foreign transaction fees, the downfall. A few casinos are "upgrading" there American Express, and it's not going to work. Despite them saying they do. So, so far my depositing experience has been limited. Otherwise I stick with another prepaid card that seems to work fairly well.

Liberty slots was accepting AE but not anymore, some bingo sites take AE and top game use to but recently I can't use it. So where is anyone able to use AE. Information appreciated.

p.s. I also never received a call from AE

Every deposit I have made at CWC in the last 4 months has been with AMEX.

I thought sloto announced they could not accept AE anymore. And my attempts with my regular AE card are shown as "pre-authorized", meaning denied. Yet, I have no trouble using it to deposit at bingo websites. Go figure.

Any hints on getting deposits to go through?

Opposite the last week for me, all my AMEX cwc (all of em) deposits were pre-authorized and AMEX worked at Sloto no prob on Friday the 16th. I think it's just hit or miss.

Tried sloto again and said "card not authorized for use on our website", contacted support who didn't know why I received the message as "everything fine". Call American Express and they showed no attempted transactions and said there were no blocks or holds on my account. It appears, the transactions are not even being attempted by their processor.

I have used my prepaid Amex for a while, since it takes 5 business days to load and if I want to load it now. I have to pay the Green Dot Money Pak fee to get it to load instantly. So I haven't been using that for at least a couple of weeks now. I've been using a prepaid visa card that has lower fees than Netspend and the international transaction rate isn't too bad either. Once I get my $25 promotional credit for signing up with the new American Express Prepaid, I'll try Sloto or DN again and see if it works.

Not to be redundant but CWC, AMEX today.

I finally had one deposit go through on friday, tried today and Sat. and got the card blocked message over and over again.

They aren't any help on telling me why the processor doesn't even attempt the transaction and I call AMEX and they said they see no attempted transactions, didn't deny any, and my card is not blocked.

Yea, I go thru the same thing on any given day. Also, at Sloto it has always gone thru there

I give up on using AMEX. I have called AMEX and they say no transactions coming through, no transactions denied and card is not blocked for international transactions. So it is the processors that apparently aren't even attempting to complete the transaction and showing my card as blocked. Eventhough support says they are not blocking my card and even they don't see an attempted transaction denied immediately after I try to deposit.

Go figure. then one casino told me the casino groups processor has a maximum daily AMEX deposit amount for all Amex transactions, but they couldn't tell me when the processor's daily max reset so that I might know when the best time to try a deposit would be.

These casinos are paying these processors but apparently are not privy to information regarding what transacations and when transactions, are processed.

Poor management IMO as a business that accepts visa/MC/Amex. My business would not stand for this, would not pay the higher Amex fee if they were not attempting to process transactions at all.

Period:mad:

Yea, I've been try'n the last couple of days with AMEX, at a couple different RTG's and it is always "pre-authorized". I asked cs at one of them and I could tell that the person really had no clue in why it wouldn't work. I guess I find the whole world of online gambling for the USA player an overall strange phenomenon in general.

I've been having the same problems. I haven't been able to get a deposit to go through for the past day using a MC or AMEX. I did just try my MC again and got a new message as to why it was declined, but not sure what that means. It said the reason was: over limit. No idea what limit they are referring to, but that's what it said.

Well here's my two cents on the ordeal, and keyword two cents.
Alright so apparently Visa for the most as discovered. Really doesn't seem to "care" as much as Mastercard and American Express about these transactions. Why? Because for months and months over and over. The same descriptors keep on popping up and being used. Without any interruption of cash to flow to the processor or the casino.
Yet it seems as if we know for sure Mastercard isn't too keen on online gaming? Why because there faster than ever to shut down a processor and keep them shut down. So this is why I have stopped using Mastercard. Mainly because as soon as a processor comes up, then it gets shut down. I'm assuming due to Mastercard's patented "fraud and skip transaction" technology. The way I understood how this worked was basically they look for similar amounts across several processors trying to use the same card. Then if something matches, even though you may have had 2 declines before they found an approval. They still group them as one transaction and then try to identify why they wanted your money so badly. That they ran you across several processors seeking an approval. Then they took a guess on why the transaction failed and who it was for.
American Express being a smaller company, doesn't surprise me they shut risky processors down faster. Mainly because they don't lease out there services to other banks and corporations. Everything is in house. If they don't like the way you operate your business, have too many charge back requests, or really can't verify why your receiving tons and tons of money. They seem to have no issue whatever shutting you down either.
Not to say after all of the above that Visa doesn't have something along those same line as Mastercard and Amex, but they seem to be more lenient than most. My guess is like most casinos would say. If you can get access to a cheap visa or even a fee free one. I would use it long before I would any other card. The funds don't seem to get trapped as easily and they seem to find alternative processors willing to process your visa card. Faster than any others.

I just got my Amex "prepaid" to work at Slotocash tonight. I'm getting the jist that the processors just decides if and where it will stop taking transactions. I think they have a random limit or cut off time. If you get there before or after there limit they say no.
I really am liking Amex tho, love the free bank transfers and no international transaction fee.

if anyone has any problems depositing by cc at Sloto'Cash or Desert Nights you can PM me and I can look into it for you.

Best Regard

Ms Sloto
