Am I Being Unreasonable or Impatient?

Intro

I was looking for a way to make some extra cash back in June. A friend of mine suggested trying poker. I thought - what a good idea. I could do it on my spare time & from home plus I enjoyed the game from playing back in the day.

I finally settled on "Players Only". An attractive website, good reviews & they catered to US players as well. I considered Full Tilt, but I was new & assumed there would be less competition at Players Only. I did not want to swim with sharks during my learning curve. I deposited $200 - lost it eventually. Deposited roughly another $100 & lost half of that LOL.

I finally came to the conclusion that there is more about this game then I realize. I went to the library checked out some books, checked websites, etc. I basically educated myself on the subject fast. I finally pinpointed my major errors & began to win some at least to break even. Learned more, practiced more & began to win more consistently. I finally got good/lucky enough that I placed 2nd in a 400+ MTT & won around $1500. I immediately made a withdrawal of $600 & let the rest sit as bankroll. I lost a good portion of my bankroll. I learned about bankroll management & being on tilt with those losses.

A few weeks after my 1st major win I won another MTT with around 500 players. This time I won around $1300. I immediately withdrew $1200. At the time I realized I played too lose when I had a large bankroll. Anyways after these major wins I continued to learn more & enjoy poker on Players Only. There would be days I would play 12-16 hours straight. That was until 2 weeks went by & there was still no notice that my initial withdrawal was ever sent. I contacted their support & they assured me they were working on it. Finally it's been 3 weeks. The original withdrawal receipt said to expect the check in 2-3 weeks. WTF! It's been 3 weeks & they haven't even been sent. 3 weeks turns into 4, then into 6 into 7, 8, 9 going on 10 weeks now. Their support staff has been courteous & responsive, but ultimately they provide the same excuses which are the UIEGA & US gov are the ones causing the problem. Oh one exception though - they waited until the 8th or 9th week and at least 10+ correspondences over that time to finally say, "Oh - did you send in the documents?" I'm like, "Documents? WTF? It took 8 weeks for someone to tell me they needed documents still?" /boggle

MAIN QUESTION

Being as this is my first withdrawal - Have I been impatient in expecting this check? Players Only keeps assuring me they have never missed a payout or never will. I mean if Bodog is under investigation by the Feds ATM, but still state they can payout with no longer then a 40 day delay then haven't I been patient enough waiting 100 days for a check that still has not been sent by a company that doesn't have an excuse as good as Bodogs?

I finally had it w/ this company & decided to e-mail the Malta gaming commission yesterday & CC'ed Players Only. Has anyone been a situation like this before & have some useful advice?

I havnt played at bodog for over a year . The reason why is because I asked for a cashout in March and didnt receive it until June! Almost 4 months for them to get my check to me.

I dont know if things are alot different because like I said, its been a year or more. If you requested a cashout in June and you still havnt received it, no, your not impatient. I took crazy measures to get my money lol. But as soon as I did that, I got my check within a week. Dont ask what the measures where because i dont recommend it, I was taking a chance and got lucky
 
Notorious2K8, thats a great effort for a newbie. I won when I started playing online but the competition wasnt as strong then, so congrats on that.:thumbsup:

Yes, I think the US players are getting a rough ride at the moment. Maybe some sites are milking it a little but the main issue does seem to be funds transfers, exclusively based for US players.

I got a withdrawal cleared into my Neteller account within minutes yesterday from FullTilt, my quickest ever, but US players are having issues there too. I wouldnt be surprised if their support is being bombarded with US players having the same issue as you.

I dont think you need to worry too much about the site backing out of paying you, I just think they are having problems processing it. It is a really unfortunate situation. I hope everything sorts itself out for you soon.
 
FWIW Players Only is an SBR graded D- book related to Sportsbook.com. Also their payment processor just got nailed by the feds. If you want to play on that same network go with Cake Poker. They have reliable processing and you can get rakeback there too. It's the same player base, just a different skin.

3Dice is the quickest as money is in your MB or Neteller account the moment you press the withdrawl button. For US players they are able to send you a check within several days. Nobody knows how there are able to do so though.

Do remember that payout reliability does not necessarily equate to getting your checks or payments within a short time if you live in the US.
 
Poker Stars are still paying well. My brother( lives in Florida) had a 700.00 cash out and was less than 2 weeks ( check) I myself keep donating at this site, but I still find it one of the better poker sites..

Since you were playing on Players Only I assume you are in the US since they only take US players. If you meant poker rooms I and you didn't mind Player's Only software then Cake is a good place to go since you're already familiar with the network, software, promos and players. Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker are also great poker rooms. Poker Stars has the fastest check cashouts of all US rooms right now and also offers a cash transfer.

I am confused as to who the rep for sportsbook is:confused:. If it is listed here here at Casinomeister as the bodog sportbook rep .. then there is no one in specific and it also shows they have not logged in since july 16th.

The Processor sends the checks



No worries about posting my replies. Im not the spokes person of the company so I cannot go and post but I have many members that contact me directly for issues not related to the casino. I really like to help and make a difference as I can feel players frustration on this type of situations.

I FINALLY received a confirmation mail that my checks have indeed been sent. My account was compensated nicely as well. I'll let you all know once the check arrives.

players only poker withdraw problems

i am on my 2nd withdraw with this site. last time it took a while, but eventually i received my money.

this time, it has been a few weeks, and i called today and they say they have "NO PROCESSOR" and are not sending out "ANY CHECKS"!!! they tell me it will be about 3 to 5 weeks more before processing will begin. this is insane in my opinion. i tried calling to find this "LAURA", but no one seems to know who she is without an extension and even asking for the casino manager does no good.

how can i get ahold of Laura who maybe can help me??? i really like this site and was hoping to continue to play here for years to come, but until these matters are resolved, I am extremely frustrated and disappointed to say the least.

does Laura have an extension? what phone number could i reach her at? Notorious2K8 - maybe you have a direct email address for her?

another thing that pisses me off is that they have a great processor for deposits. your account will get credited almost instantly. but withdrawls is a completely different story. i am being a little impatient since it has only been a couple weeks, but i just have a feeling i will be complaining for several weeks or months to come as it does not feel like i will be getting a check any time soon. thanks for letting me vent.

As of my last update I received a tracking number, but there is no longer any estimated date of delivery after checking FedEx's site. I called FedEx & they explained to me that a company can obtain a FedEx number, but not actually deliver the package to FedEx for shipment. The number can sit on processor's desk for weeks without them ever actually sending a package.

The FedEx number was created on Aug 19, 2008 @ 7:18 AM. Laura said to give it a few days for the order to start showing movement in FedEx's tracking page, but tomorrow will be a full week.

I sent Laura an e-mail Saturday,Aug 23rd asking her when should I start getting concerned, but have yet to receive a reply. She's usually prompt, but then again I did send it over the weekend & it's only been one business day. She did say she would be checking her e-mail daily though.

Once again I'm beginning to get skeptical again. A FedEx number with no actual package & Laura has not responded in 3 days. They did comp my account, but what good is a "virtual comp" if it doesn't result in a real world payout.

It is reassuring to know you have had at least one successful withdraw with them. I'll PM you her addy. GL!

I send and track FedEx packages almost daily at work. Tracking info shows up on their website within minutes the package is scanned by a FedEx employee. I hope the best for you but it sounds like more lies to me.

to me this is total bull ---- why cant they take the time to email an say
hey your ID isnt readable can you please resend
then the player would have got their money an probably redeposited

I just dont understand when the documents dont come thru right why they cant tell ya

I thought maybe I should post this info too as it may help someone in the future who comes along looking for info.

This e-mail came from their cashier, "You currently have no pending withdrawals. The amount of $600.00 was processed and sent on 2008-08-14. Unfortunately, the assignment of tracking numbers for withdrawals is slower than usual due to the increased volume of checks sent via this method. The change in our withdrawal policy means that all of our customers are now receiving checks via express courier.

As we send out large batches of withdrawals, the couriers assign batches of tracking numbers to our processor's shipments. If the processor has not given us the tracking numbers quickly enough, you might receive your check before we have your tracking number. At certain times we may also have the tracking number before the payment is actually dispatched. When trying to track your package on these occasions, you may receive a message that the data is not yet in the system, or the package has not yet been submitted.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, and please do contact us again if your check does not arrive within the next 10-15 business days."
 
Thanks to Laura and Notorious2k8, it appears that my withdrawl is being processed now. I'll keep you posted as to the progress of my check. Hopefully all works out well so I can continue to play at the site.
 
Play at pokerstars . I get checks from them in less the a week consistently. And as a plus they never bounce like some other rooms.
 
Final Update

I wanted to give everyone here a final update. I received my checks about a day after my last post in this thread. I've just been waiting for them to actually clear.

As of last night, both checks cleared. It sucks that it took so long to get them, but at least Sportsbet/PlayerOnly did come through with Laura's help. Let it be known that Laura, the Sportsbook Casino Manager, is Aces in my book. I will continue to play at Players Only Casino.

Thanks to everyone who posted in this thread, Casino Meister for the forum & Laura's personal touch. I hope this thread gives some peace of mind to anyone who may be considering playing at Players Only or waiting on a check from them.
