Ok, I have a HUGE gripe. (RANT)

I opened my email and found 6 bonus offers for match play bonuses. Now mind you, I have emailed every casino there is when I first joined them and told them to NEVER send me these offerings because I feel insulted they would think I would play these and waste my time and money trying to meet all their ridiculous requirements. ( I have taken a very few since they sent them anyway with 200-400% with low playthrough but very seldom)

Now, I just got another one from English Harbour for a match play bonus to come back and play...They were the very first ones I signed up with to stop all bonus offers....Does ANY casino listen to us players? Have they all gone DEAF!

I am so disgusted with the all these operators..if they really wanted loyal players that stick with them come hell or high water, they would give free loyalty chips, not these useless match bonuses...I mean...come on, who in their right mind woud take a 20% match bonus and have a 35x playthrough on their own money??

I think this option for match bonuses should be somewhere in their casino to be able to choose this if one wanted it and if a player doesn't play with one all month, then the casino should offer a free chip to the player that has blown a few thousand at their casino without having to ask for one..

The gambling loyalty goes both way...if you want my undivided play, then you better think of something better than a lousy match bonus...

There is only 2 casinos that have done this free chip/managers bonus and they were Inetbet and Clubworld. I give them both a thumbs up for at least appreciating the player.

So, stop sending these out to players that have asked to not receive them and all will be good...and LISTEN and respect the players wishes...if you want LOYALTY, give something back without all those damn strings attached for goodness sake and make a player feel appreciated...you guys might be surprised how many will return and stay loyal...

Thank you, rant over....

There are so many disgruntled gamblers out there that I really believe have either stopped gambling or are gambling far less than they used to. There are many reasons but I believe the way we players have been treated and the economy now has casinos groping for customers. I don't believe business is booming for the casinos. They are trying all the stupid offers, that most of us are too intelligent to fall for. My depositing at casinos is almost non existant these days.

There is only one 200% bonus that I used to consistently play and that was Cherry Red. As a VIP I got that every weekend with a 20x D+B playthrough, no max cashout. Unfortunately, after I hit 3 randoms there, I just couldn't get any good sessions anymore, so closed my account.

In my opinion, the tidal wave of bonuses and spamming that is coming from nearly all casinos, is a sign of the times. PLayers are playing less, spending less and casinos are probably feeling the pinch.
But of course they usually choose the easiest route to try to get your money back into their casinos. It always worked before, even to the point of ignoring earlier requests not to spam, so why would they try to come up with something fresh and original now?

Silc,

Wow! What a rant and a sensible/valid one too. Casinos should rack their brains to get some good promotions for us and not hope that once in a blue moon they will be a sucker who uses it.

I just hope that no one will come forward and say that the rant is worthless because because it's your choice on whether to take the bonus. We are the customers and deserve better. If the local supermarket comes up with such crap, it's marketing manager would have been fired ages ago.

Let's just go back to the way we used to do it in Vegas. You earn reasonable comp points that you can actually redeem for some real money, merchandise, rooms, food & beverages, etc. Forget these lousy bonuses that most of the time you'll never hit the playthrough anyway. Instead, no bonuses, but players are rated based on their play. Notice I didn't say rated based on deposits or amount of money lost? If I can deposit $100 and get $10,000 worth of wagering out of it, I should be worth more than the gambler who deposits $100, wins 20 bucks and cashes out. I say monthly no strings attached bonuses, based on your play. So, as an example, at the beginning of the month the manager gives me a bonus of $200 based on last months play. I can cash it or play it, as there is no restriction. I can even hit an RJ on it. I would forfeit all bonuses for a program like that, as long as it was fair.

agree on most points, but I did get a good offer from Fortunelounge yesterday 120% on deposits upto 1000 however sadly as they dont flush withdraws anymore and the fact I will never deposit at a casino that will not flush instantly on request after playthrough etc met then afraid this one went in the trash can.

Wider note all the mad bonus offers maybe a sign of the times. Casinos struggling, less people deposting - glut of start up over night casinos. List goes on. For me I stick with 2 / 3 casinos max these days and the rest get nowt. In this area the player can hold all the cards

I'll check the cashier/emails from good bonuses, but I won't take a bonus with more than a 20x WR, and even then it has to be 200% match or more. And sometimes, I won't take even that. I've reduced my depositing since I'm at a point where I feel Rival and RTG have become WAY too tight (reducing even further the chances that you will make the WR). I can sit things out until they decide to loosen things up. I suppose many other people feel likewise. If you feel you aren't getting a fair game, walk.

If a player has told the casino that he/she doesn't want bonus offers they have to respect that.

But as someone said, casinos believe bonus offers are their only chance to receive customers.

For me, the trouble isn't the bonuses themselves. It's the bad bonuses which only can cheat the players.

We "have to" find a way to get rid of the worst bonuses as I suggested here!

I have seen several attempts from casinos with tournaments involved. Even if I didn't like iNetBets weekend tourney I think it's good to try different moves.

MGS are ahead here with their tournaments but other casinos have working tournaments as well.

Ok, because I do not take bonuses...but can be persuaded to take free chips, I got an email from Casino us, formerly River Nile Casino and I read the offer thinking it was 2 different offers..but I was told it was not...does anyone else read it that way (since I am not very bonus savvy)...maybe I misunderstood but I know when I see FREE, that means FREE, yes???

info: Please wait for a site operator to respond.
info: You are now chatting with 'Tommy'
Tommy: Welcome to the Casino Support Desk. How can I help you?
Tommy: Hi Rose
Rose: Hi, I got an offer for a free $100 chip play and 100 free spins on katmandu, how do I claim this please?
Rose: it says by invitation only
Tommy: Are you refering to the Casino US
Rose: yes, sorry
Tommy: ok
Tommy: You will need to make a deposit in order to qualify for your free spins
Rose: oh, it doesn't say that...it says:
1.Open your existing River Nile Casino account
2.Log in with your account number (trnr) and password
3.Play!
Then it says I want to give you $100 free...
Rose: Nothing about having to deposit...
Rose: Hello?
Tommy: One moment while I check my records please.
Rose: ok thank you
Tommy: Yes I do understand however the email does state that you will receive a 100% match upto 100 and 100 Free spins on Kathmandu.
Rose: yes but on the very bottom it says I want to give you $100 free....I thought that meant...free? Not deposit and I will give you $100 free...
Rose: cause then it isn't free..it is a match offer...yes?
Rose: I can send you the offer so you can see the bottom in big letters..does not have anything but I WANT TO GIVE YOU $100 FREE...thats it...nothing else in the box
Tommy: Yes its a match offer and we will give you 100 free if you deposit 100
Rose: but then it is not free...
Tommy: I've got the Email on my PC infront of me.
Tommy: It is Free
Rose: well, I guess then I am misunderstanding it... because when I see free without anything else, then I guess I thought "Free"...but you are saying it is a match play bonus...hmmm...that means you must make a deposit to get this offer...
Tommy: Thats correcct Rose
Rose: which is NOT free..it has conditions yes?
Rose: ok, thank you...sorry to bother you..
Tommy: Yes normal promotional Terms and conditions apply
Tommy: Is there anything else I can assiti you with?
Rose: ok, I thought they were two different offers..one with match and one free..
Rose: no that is all thank you
Tommy: It has been a pleasure to assist. Please do not hesitate to contact us again with any queries you may have. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Rose: you too, bye

On top it offers a match and then on bottom in a different box it say free...I am very confused on this..cause how can you just log and play ...if you must make a deposit...I figured you can claim the free $100 and then play..(the bottom offer)..

This is why I hate these darn things...and now I am getting them from casinos I haven't played at in months!

Obviously a slightly different approach to try to change players perceptions of a bonus. By stating free, they are simply trying to make the player think now you are getting the same old type bonus with wagering requirements, terms and conditions, but think of it as free, :what:.
As for the 100 free spins, if they are $1 spins, that wouldn't be bad, but they would still most likely have wr and t&c's, plus usually free spins are like the minimum wager amount.
A bonus is never free, no matter how they advertise it and this type of advertisment will only deceive the new players, not seasoned ones.
So what they are really saying, is we give you a free rope to hang you with. :D
With free chips, I don't even like those anymore, because of the max cashouts, wr and t&c's tied to them as well.
So the only thing we can count on as free, are the dandelions growing wild in our lawns.

So newbies beware!!!!

Casinos telling me I'm getting something for free and then telling me to pay for it has been my biggest gripe since day one.

I have had emails that have said absolutely nothing execpt I have won 500 dollars and to log in to claim it. Then been told it was a series of match bonuses or 500 that I can play and if I have 20 left over I can deposit 20 and claim it. It's quite sickening really that casinos have to try to trick us into installing the software or making deposits.

I argued with one guy for 20 minutes just for fun. I wanted my 500 dollars. :p

the thing is that not all the gambling ppl are seasoned or smart enough....there are also ppl like...for example...MY WIFE...

She just buys anyhting is on sale....if I ask: but what do we need "that" for?
She candidly will answer: .....but it was 50% off....

she has been awarded a blackbelt in shopping....

I think not all bonuses are bad. There are several casinos that allow you to cash out your deposit + winnings before completing the wagering requirements. you can't loose anything if you take those. Simply there is no reason not to redeem those, because you have no restricitons practically. In case you want to grind out the bonus only, that kind of bonus may not be suitable for you either, but if you play a win over what you deposit strategy, you can benefit from these bonuses. such bonuses are available at Alljackpot, Expekt, Unibet and Globet Casino. If you play in order to win over the starting balance, there is no reason to skip those. Moreover the reload bonuses have the same rules.

For me the WHG group bonuses are very suitable as well. They carry very low wagering requirements (10-12x), and all games allowed to be played, and game features are very good, and table games starts at low limit. Regarding game settings and limits I don't think they have too much competitor on the market today, except for BetRaiser, but that casino doesn't offer bonus and takes 10% of you winnings on cash out. So I think for those who seek the lowest wager can find good deals at the William Hill group of casinos. The same applies to AffClub casinos. Moreover I think at Playtech the slots pay out far more better than at RTG or Microgaming, so you can break even at least many times.

I think there are many good bonuses, but you have to search for them. But it is not impossible to find good ones. There are several good hidden among the multitude of useless bonuses.

Got a call today from Vegas Partners offering me....

a huge $5.00 bonus in my account. I laughed and said 5 dollar? What are the wagering requirements? Answer, wager 30 times. I said "no thanks".

What the heck? Do they think I am stupid. I download the casino, lose my 5l5.00 and they are hoping I deposit then? No chance, all the games I loved are no longer available to me.

Take a hike I say!

Today I started uninstalling some casinos, strangely only one of them asked for feedback during the uninstall process. So I told them their comps and player retention sucks.... Here is their response...LOL

Hi there XXXX,

Account: XXXXXXX

Thank you for taking the time to contact our casino.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to voice your agitation with regard to bonuses offered.

We here at the casino pride ourselves on delivering the highest levels of customer service, and view it as a matter of great concern when one of our players have not enjoyed what many have come to expect: "a truly pleasurable gaming experience".

Judging by your decision to uninstall the casino it has become clear your experience with us, has not been what had been expected. We have come to earn an industry reputation of very generous bonuses not enjoyed by many other casino's and we would like to uphold our reputation.

With that said, we would like to take this opportunity to offer you a exclusive 100% match should you like to install the casino again. The maximum you can claim on this offer will be a $150 and can be claimed on your first deposit made with our casino. (Huh? first? I've made several amounting in the thousands???)

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Should you require any further assistance, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for your convenience.

Kind Regards,

And of course I couldn't resist replying back...

Oooh boy, how exciting. $150 match bonus with D+B 30X WR or greater. Sounds to me like a vehicle to keep more of my money. I can go to ANY casino online and get a crappy match bonus. Tell me how does that set you above the rest. It doesn't plain and simple. Comp me or don't send me this garbage.

Non-cashable I suppose?;)

But I suppose 70xD+B is relatively low compared with the 140x or even 800x:eek: thats getting more and more the norm these days, lol...

A while back, I received an email from their customer support manager; she asked me if there had been any problem, since I hadn't deposited in a while. I honestly told her, the bonuses aren't good enough. She appreciated my honesty, but I suppose her hands are tied up to a certain point, and obviously, nothing has changed. Oh well.

I have always been wary of bonuses. I seldom take any now, but if I am looking for possible "extra" playtime with nothing better to do, I will. If I want to cash out, I take no bonus.

Just throwing some possible numbers out there with no real substance. My guess is out of 1000 people takin said bonuses, I would think less that 5% actually make the WR's. Of that lucky few, another 20% maybe cashout something and the rest just blow it all. There is no hope in hell casinos would provide the actual numbers. So we can only run on assumptions.

Personally its all smoke and mirrors to have a bigger starting balance with no real chance of actually making something of it. Alas, that is what the casinos are feeding on. Its a game of chance and more often than not, no chance at all.

There are two sides, people who gamble for 'fun" and people who gamble to win.

It depends on who you ask, you get different answers.

Finally, stop bitching about 50%,100%,1000% bonuses with 30x,40,70,100x WR's. Simple fact, don't take them !!, if you do, you DO NOT have the right to bitch. Come on, we are not virgins here.

But i digress.

BIGZEDBUD; Finally, stop bitching about 50%,100%,1000% bonuses with 30x,40,70,100x WR's. Simple fact, don't take them
Um, BIGZEDBUD, I don't think you quite understood the issue here.....back into time out again for me for the time being..still the same ole, same ole on presenting opinions that do not apply...
silcnlayc: So, stop sending these out to players that have asked to not receive them and all will be good...and LISTEN and respect the players wishes

Casinos will continue to put crap on the table for as long as it gets eaten by players.

Quit taking the offers en masse, and they will eventually get the message.

There are already signs that some casinos are tinkering with promotions, but they are not daring to do enough to make a real difference.

Many do nothing more than "shout louder" the same lame offer to players.

Well, does it work on holiday when a native doesn't understand your own language:rolleyes:

Here, I fixed this one up.

LOL,
The funny thing about that promo offer that you are all upset that Casino Rewards sent you... isn't even from them it is from a marketing partner (aka an affiliate) You should not bash some of the better sites because you guys don't take the time to actually find out who is sending you garbage and then you get all pissy and go off about how these horrible groups send you these B.S. emails but oooppps they aren't even directly from the Casino's even if they appear to be but that you are a winner one from yukon gold(supposedly) is not actually from The Casino Rewards group it is from an affiliate that makes it look like it is coming directly from them.

Just thought you might wanna know that the below email isn't even from the source you are spending so much time being mad at for sending you garbage that they didn't even send! Do your homework or STFU!!!
