many thanks to those that have been emailing me ..Apologies for not answering them all yet .,

the operation went really well ...It took them nearly 10 hours but there efforts were well worth it ....apparently they lost me on 2 occasions but obviously managed to
revive me ..I don't recall any bright lights guiding me towards the heavens so can't comment on any afterlife ...

The pain is excruciating but apparently that's a good sign ..I've got many many months of hard physio ahead of me but my aim is to be standing on my own feet and walking by years end ..

I hope everyone had a great Xmas and once again thanks for the messages of support and some great gallows humour

hope to meet some of you at next year's casinomeister piss up

I am so happy to hear this Satty!!!!!

Well done - I was thinking about you only the other day having read the thread you posted a while back. I'm delighted to hear the operation was successful. Best of luck with your recuperation and keep us posted on how you're doing :)

Rachel.

I wonder if your phone really meant to say that last part :p

Very happy to hear that it went well. Now the fight have started and I'm sure you'll make it

But you saw a vision of 729 ways of Rhinos in the free spins? If so I'm going to see the Vicar and get back into the flock....:D

Seriously, that is a good idea, make Meistermeet 2018 a target to get there under your own steam, always good to have a goal.

All things being well, we'll see you then - in the meantime be lucky!

I am thrilled for you. I truly am.

While I'm sure it's hard to find pain a good thing, it does mean the nerves are working.

You've been in that chair a long time, it will indeed be a grueling process doing the physio, and probably close to a full time job in and of itself. I know a rotator cuff tear took months and I was supposed to do 5 hours of exercises a day!

We already know you are a tough and resilient fella. Any time you are feeling exhausted or discouraged, you know you can come here and find us all rooting for you.

I made it 8 hours today without crying. We live in an age of miracles.

I had my own struggles a few years back with pain, if you'd like some help with meditation and imaging techniques, I'd be happy to share what helped me.

That's such good news Satty, I wish that everything turns out (after some hard work no doubt) splendidly for you.

Sattty this has been the post we have been waiting to read ever since you went for surgery. And what great news they are.

You got the hardest part done including the decision to say 'yes' to a very risky operation. What is coming now will be a walk in the park, in a few months literally. :)

Godspeed for your journey to a full recovery.

Wonderful news. If you make it to the Meistermeeting 2018 I will do everything I can to get there myself!
All the best and I wish you all necessary determination during your physical recovery!
