The more I read this thread the less I understand what AI is, what its biggest purpose or role will be.
Basically is it 'you don't need to employ those costly humans', our AI program/service, which we will rent to you, can do their job at a fraction of the cost?
Nothing to worry about yet, especially if you're doing proper manual work. But those whose jobs can easily be replaced with AI may need to quickly adapt to changes and learn how they could improve their work or find something better. Essentially, all bank employees, estate agents, and council workers can be replaced with AI chatbots.
AI could open a bank account for you, provide a loan, or approve a mortgage in minutes after asking a few questions. Similarly, AI could easily identify a benefit busters who claims all sorts of BS for years and then cut the dole. AI could also easily help with applying for a suitable job, or sending people to courses if needed.
On a larger scale, it's more about which AI system a company wants to integrate into their work process.
I recently saw an online tool for web developers where an AI chatbot is constantly with you. It sees what you do and tries to help, and it has access to all their terms, FAQs, and documentation.
It would be impossible for a human to help me like this, as they have a massive terms that i would have to read for a few days and still might not understand. But their bot tells you things like, "Wait a sec, i'll check the documentation," and then, in a minute, comes back with exactly what you need, properly structured. If anything else is needed, it goes to look for more info or replies instantly.
For casinos topic - Imagine if there was a chatbot that knew everything about any slot or table game available on a casino site, in detail. If there was anything unclear about payment speeds, bonuses, site terms, documents, etc., it would give you direct info and provide enough context to help you understand WHY certain features, rules, or requirements exist and WHAT purposes they serve. Rather than just throwing terms at you, explaining nothing, and leaving it all open ended. Plus they could write in most languages.
But at the core, it's as you say - 'you don't need to employ those costly humans.'
