I resorted to using regular checks sent in the mail for two recent withdrawals, and there are 6 days a week that it might have arrived but it comes on Saturday and my husband gets the mail, opens it and wants to know why the hell I have a check for $400 from Germany!!
Another gamble feature I lost on!!!

Your husband opens your mail?

:axeman:

(crossing my fingers) Maybe there'll be no problems getting the check to clear.

Germany, who knew? The casino is Vegas7 managed by a firm in the UK, but the casino is based I think in Curaoco ( sp?) and then the check also said it was from the official bank of New York... go figure! But it had nothing on it casino wise, so I had a handy excuse!!

I think I would hate it if my wife felt she could open my mail... I know I wouldn't want to open anyone elses :)

Strange that the check was from Germany, though :what:

REGARDING RECENT PAYMENT BY CHECK

All Micro. casinos must be using same processor, all check from same location, no one is processing ACH as we requested when cashing out.

You guys are joking aren't you about opening each others mail? My husband NEVER opens mail unless I am not around (hospital or something) but I open EVERYONES mail in the household including my sons when he lived with us. That was the rule of the house.

Since I paid the bills, I get to open everything. Those are the house rules. It has worked for 35 years (celebrating our 35th on April 8th of this year). We have never had an issue with mail. Same with checks from foreign countries or from Ladbrokes for any winnings. If he happened to open it, he always got very excited and happy (he claims it as his spending money).

I guess to us, it was a trust issue and if I couldn't open his mail or vice a versa, then something didn't feel right. So we made this rule with us and then our kids. Never had any problems except once in while our son asking us to cover one of his bills he forgot to pay(but no more since he has moved, thank goodness!:D )

I am sad to see that mail is an issue with some of you since there are bigger fish to fry in life. I always said, you have to pick your fights and mail was very low on our list of importance.

Silcnlayc

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary!
You dont have to feel sad for us cause it dont feel it is a trust issue. iFor me, its a respect issue. I respect what is in your name, you respect what is in mine. If the relationship is a good one this will not be a problem. I certainly wouldnt want anyone reading my personal mail and if I feel it is relavent to the relationship I will share. Bills are entirely different, if they are household and not personal accounts by all means, open it up. In case you are wondering what I mean by "personal accounts" I mean accounts held independant from each other, ones that each may deposit into monthly for their own personal spending.

My partner and I open each others mail all the time. The only time I get annoyed is when he opens my presents!

Congratulations Silcnlayc - 35 years is a long time!

NayCayMom, what was your excuse?

The coverup

I told him that some deal online had told me I won something, but you know those types of phone calls are always with a catch ( fake), so I did the samething I do with phonecalls, told them "great, send it to me" then I was shocked they did send something.
Then I told him after taking a close look it wasn't a real check but one of those you must use along with some of your own $$ to get your "prize"
We get those types of advertisements all the time in the mail, some come from car dealerships and they send a special check for $10,000, but when you take a closer look it is for $10,000 off one of the brand new cars on the car lot.
Phone companies used to do it all the time, the check would be for $5.00, and you could cash it, BUT if you did you were agreeing to switch phone companies.

Being the skeptic that I am this fit! Shame on me.

OOoooH! Are you ever gonna get spanked my the Moral Minority around here for being dishonest with your mate. Run for cover now! :gunmen: :axeman2: :machinegu

Too funny! Had me chuckiling the entire post!

Thank you. He robbed the cradle, he did, (was 15) and I remind him of this every anniversary .... :D  I get better presents that way.
I know, that was baaad.
So we all have our "little" ways of getting what we want and around things that doesn't hurt the relationship :)

:what: I didn't condemn her for her actions because I'm bad too.. but to say that lying doesn't hurt the relationship is stretching it a bit though.

Only time I opened a latter of my husbands was when he got hsi card, and it smelled like perfume.

It was signed from a lady. I stewed all day until he got home, convinced he was seeing someone else, then found out it was from the real esate company that we bought our house from! God I felt dumb, but they shouldnt be sending prefumed letters , and I called them to tell them that! LOL

I HAVE ALWAYS OPENED ALL THE MAIL INCLUDING MY HUSBANDS

I will be married 30 "wonderful and glorious years" this August. My husband has never paid the bills. He is a doctor and I managed his offices for 17 years.

Personally, I can't imagine a reason why we couldn't open each others mail(unless it was a birthday card or something). Most of it pertains to both of us. Also, if he didn't want to me open something from particular entities, I would wonder what he was trying to hide. I am sure the same would apply to me from his perspective.

I guess it all depends on how you handled it from the beginning. We dated in high school and college. So have been with each other since 1971. Not much we don't know about each others business.

However, I hate it when he sees some of my charges for playing because if I have a losing streak, I get a lecture. Of course when I am winning, he is all for it. "keep it up honey" Typical human nature.
