It'd be a pretty strange dismantling of the UK scene if no casino spoke out against it, yet that is what we're seeing. So they're either too frightened to speak out in a show of force, say ten of the biggest UK's casinos, or they're in some way complicit, and this has been 'preordained'.
Like with everything, it'll just be a case of 'follow the money', because I think it's safe to assume the UKGC aren't doing these overkill measures for player protection.
It may just end up with two UK-licensed casinos left, both of which not having a single 'problematic' gambler on their books. And yet, the UKGC can then claim to have got gambling well and truly under control, right?
