Advice needed - Luckyvip bonus problem

Hi there,

I deposited £67 in a casino I use regularly last night and was offered a 7% bonus on deposit which equalled £4.69.

During my session I was incredibly lucky to hit an unbelievable win on Beetlejuice which paid £9,168,60 on a £2 spin! I then tried to withdraw and saw I had to complete wagering of £2867.60!

After a few hours i completed the wagering with a balance of £9,460,52 remaining only for the whole balance to vanish upon completion leaving £35 in my account!

I’ve contacted customer support and been told the max convertible on the bonus was 5x! Utterly ridiculous as when taking the offer no T&C’s were stated and I’ve scoured the terms and conditions on the site and there’s absolutely nothing on the site saying those T&C’s apply to the offer I took!

Id like to know where I stand on this as at the moment it seems a £4.69 bonus is robbing me of a win of £9,460,52!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I’ve literally scoured the whole site and can find nothing on there stating these little deposit offers come with a 5x max conversion. Only the welcome bonus and a wheel spin bonus they do have this condition stated on them

Scour all you'd like, they just don't want to pay up 10K. I'm sure you would have had a runaround even if you had won that
money free and clear of any bonuses and only played with a raw balance.

You're an experienced member so you can submit a PAB here and hopefully CM can recover your funds from the casino.
I would do it ASAP while it's fresh.

This is why I dont take bonuses. Did you at least kept your £67 or were you just left with £35?

How do I go about doing this mate?

Top of the site, "submit a complaint" and follow the directions from there. Good luck!

Do make sure to read the Player Arbitration Policies & Procedures thoroughly before submitting.
Thanks mate, appreciate the help! Just feel completely gutted with the whole thing.
such a life changing amount of money potentially taken away over a £4.69 bonus!

just feel I’m being wronged on this as the 5x max conversion isn’t stated anywhere on the site for the bonus I took or I’d have never Bothered taking the £4.69 in the first place!

It does say on the front page that the welcome bonus is capped at 5x :-

However, that’s specific to that bonus. And their general promotional terms page is blank. And on that basis, unless it said on the promo they sent you that there was a specific restriction , it could be seen to be an unfair term.I think you’ve got a good argument that’s worth a go here, though given it’s a bonus, don’t expect much.

Yeah this is exactly what I encountered! The only bonuses I can find on the entire site with a 5x cap is the welcome bonus and the wheel spin bonus not the bonus I took. The bonus I took was the one in the image below which doesn’t state there are T&C’s connected to it and like I said there is nothing on the site saying that particular bonus has terms and conditions attached to it…in fact there’s nothing regarding that deposit bonus mentioned at all on the site!

Though on the flip side, archived versions do show the 5x cap -https://web.archive.org/web/20210119112032/https://www.luckyvip.com/terms-and-conditions/general-promotional-terms-and-conditions/

On that basis, I don’t think you’ll win, but I’d try.

Had you dropped into bonus funds when you hit that win?
Not sure, should it matter anyway when there no terms attached to it and I’d already been made to wager £2,800

There’s nothing on the site stating that at the moment though, I’d have never bothered taking a £4.69 bonus if it was clearly stated that it was capped

The argument they’ll use against you is that the T&Cs refer to promotional T&Cs and that you should have asked for them as the link is broken.

I don’t think it’s right, but do prepare not to prevail. Essentially - do a PAB, but don’t spend money chasing it.

Thanks for the advice, I’ve done a PAB as I feel I’ve been wronged here.

my issue is that the bonus option itself shows no T&C’s attached so would never think to ask what they were, plus on the promo page on the site they do show their various promotions but this one isn’t one of them.

surely having to wager over £2800 is more than enough for a £4.69 bonus amount? Seems completely unjust that they then have just taken the balance away after doing that.

If you have opened a PAB already, dont post/write anything else in here now.
Wait for it to finish.

If you hadn’t they wouldn’t have a leg to stand on under UKGC rules as cash play needs to be completely unencumbered with any play or bonus terms. I’d start there to find out the balance when you hit that bonus. If it was using bonus funds I think you have a fight on your hands.

This is why you should RARELY if EVER accept any bonus from anywhere. Sign up bonuses are one thing, but many if not most are set up as traps.

I never take bonuses, and my playing stress level is about zero - if that.

I hope the OP gets this resolved in his favour because that would be an unbelievably bitter pill to have to swallow,
should he end up not getting paid.

But I have to ask the OP a question.....

What on earth were you thinking when you chose to take a SEVEN PERCENT bonus?
Not only that, a 7% bonus where you have to wager your bonus PLUS YOUR DEPOSIT 40 times?
You basically had to wager your bonus OVER SIX HUNDRED times! (611.43 times to be "nearly exact").

If I see a casino offering a 7% bonus with those WRs, the alarm bells are going to be ringing so f*cking hard (and loud) in my head,
I will have a chronic case of tinnitus within 20 minutes.
Because quite simply, a piss poor percentage bonus with an even more piss poor WR attached to it just REEKS of rogueness.

I truly hope you get paid (somehow), but I am already fearing the worst. :(
I hate seeing these types of stories where the joy of landing "your all-timer" suddenly becomes a nightmare and the mother of all hard luck stories instead.
It just saddens me and leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

You have been a member here for nearly 6 years mate. If you're going to take bonuses, you've simply got to do a better job of....

1. Shopping around for at least a "half-decent" deal
2. Doing your 100% NECESSARY due diligence before you even think of accepting a bonus (ie read the damn terms!)

I think if @dunover were to read this, the first word he'd be saying would be....

DRATT (Didn't Read All The Terms).

Once again OP, I TRULY HOPE AND PRAY that you get paid. But I gotta be honest here.
If I were in your shoes right now, I'd be very, very concerned. And livid with myself for not doing my 5 to 10 minutes of due diligence.
