As I no way condone the actions of the man, it is however a reflection of the judiciary system in Australia. When a man has to fight not only against the ex wife but also the law just to have access to his children then I gather this incident is a reflection of our one sided laws.
Men are considered guilty until proven innocent in Australia because of emotional hijacking by feminist groups in this country.
DID YOU KNOW THAT WOMEN HAVE THE RIGHT TO REQUEST A RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST A MAN, EVEN IF THE MAN IS THE VICTIM OF THE ASSAULT? Even to the extent that the female visits the mans home and assaults them on his own property.
A gay man is awarded damages from a heterosexual man after being slapped in the face for pitching him on the bottom and ordered to do community service.
The fabric of our society and its beliefs is being destroyed by minority groups and we all sit here and try and place blame on this man for his actions, when in fact we are all responsible for this poor child being thrown of a 200 mt high bridge.
We are now talking about changing the date of Australia day just because the date doesnt suit some minority groups. WHO ARE WE?? Australians will never have a history and a sense of belonging in this world when we keep changing things because someone doesnt like the colour on that day!
We banned Santa from saying hohoho
We dont allow singing of Christmas carols in schools as it may offend the Muslims. Yet we are 85% Christine society
We tried to remove Easter bunny with a bilby to save a dyeing animal
Makes you wonder how any man living in Australia knows were his place in society begins and ends. Political correctness gone mad.
Id say we will start to see more incidents similar to this poor 4 year old. I pray not, but the ingredients are being mixed as we speak.\\
No wonder the world doesnt take us seriously. Then again we aussies dont take ourselves seriously.
It seems the same here in the UK. The result has been a breakdown in the traditional values, and the law being stacked against men when it comes to matrimonial disputes has lead to some men just giving up altogether, and assuming it would be easier not to care and just walk away from their kids. The state tracks them down to get maintenance, but it has not solved the problem of kids being brought up without a male role model, and the resultant "chaos" in society is affecting us all so much that polititians are beginning to think the unthinkable, and wanting to bring back some of the "traditional family values" from the middle of last century, but without all the "oppression" then of minorities.
One example is that we have these campaigns against domestic violence, but in these campaigns we ONLY see "man on woman" violence illustrated, with little said about the almost taboo "woman on man" violence that DOES happen (apart from one documentary on our channel 4 a while back).
Throwing the kid off a bridge is clearly an extreme response, but it is shockingly not all that uncommon, there are several cases like this each year here, some successful, usually with the father attempting to kill himself as well. I cannot recall hearing of cases where the WOMAN tries to kill herself and the kids, although I accept that there ARE differences between the sexes, and a woman is less likely to resort to this kind of action under the circumstances.
The feminist movement began because women were considered inferior to men, and this was enforced through the "old boy network" in the workplace, as well as through financial laws. Now it has gone to the other extreme, not an equality, but the law assuming the woman to be always the victim in any dispute, or superior when it comes to assessing suitability for the workplace, partly because employers fear a lawsuit.
The problem is that society may overreact, and we could end up back where we started, instead of at equilibrium, and the most vulnerable people will be newcomers to a country, or those with "new" views and standards.
There has already been an eruption of feeling over foreign workers at an oil refinery group here in the UK, even though we have been allowing such EU workers in for a while without such an incident - perhaps an indication that we now have a new "downtrodden minority", which was the "superior majority" decades ago, who are now saying "enough is enough" with action, as well as words.
