And JohnSteed...cat got your tongue? Never seen you so quiet, lol.

Macgyver

ard John wasn't even present physically, not sure how that works ...

It works by the servers going down in my area from early (my) morning up until this past hour (which is 6 hours AFTER the tournament had begun). Believe you me, I was REALLY looking forward to playing in that tournament. Heck, I JUST missed the first tournament a couple weeks back, and it happened again. :what: I was tempted to play at one of the local PC rooms, went to one, and yes... they were down as well (actually, it isn't wise to gamble in plain view like that in a country where you're not supposed to be doing it... but IF there wasn't a player with their internet usuage, I would have hopped all over it and have taken that chance).

Side note: I'd love to have a word with those in charge of KT (Korean Telecom). My guess is that they must have been upgrading their servers on an early Monday morning.

Actually, aside from being mired in frustration by not playing, I was VERY MUCH looking forward to playing amongst the other handles (forum members). That in itself is the best part about playing in the Freeroll.

:( :( :( :( :(

The feeling I had today, was like waiting for the date for the prom to show up (despite that I am a male :D ), and not hearing boo.

Glad you all had fun, and I guess... next time (sigh)...

Big thanks to CM and Ed for the tourny........I've played Hold'em before but now I know what "all in" really means!:D

Thanks again. Steed, we missed your participation and hope your local servers get their act together for the next one.

Congratulations to the winners!

Fantastic tourney, thanks everyone. Managed a 2nd place finish. Luck was definitely on my side though. Sorry KK also, that really was BAD!!
No problem - sh*t happens - especially in hold em!
My face did look exactly like your avatar though, when you turned that straight over!

Well done to all the winners & thanks to everyone for taking part and HUGH thanks to the organisers, of course! :notworthy

Can't wait for the next one.... :)

And they had you seated right next to me JS!!! That really sucks, next time for sure.

A big thanks to Ed and Pat and Bryan....and to all the participants.

Ah damn.. I think I missed this and played the regular freeroll instead!

I wondered why there was 1700 or something player. Duh!

Oh well, next time's a definite... I always find myself wondering why the cards aren't spinning really fast though, and there's no 'wilds'...

What happened?

I had QJ and KKing had TT. The flop was T8?, then the dreaded 9 hit the turn and we were allin. Im normally the guy holding the unfoldable TT in these situations but luck was smiling on me last night for a change.

Anyway the whole tourney was fantastic, cant wait for the next one:thumbsup:

Excellent tourney though I couldnt use the chat function as I had to minimise the screen to have access to the raise button. Once done, the chat function became inaccessible. I will try to work it out so that I can chat with you guys next time.

Johnsteed,so you werent able to play because of a server problem. This happened to me many times with the Poker 333 freerolls. Damn, the server problem is solve but now I have this Raise button problem. Hope I am at your table next tourney so we can have a good chat. It will be 5am at my area though so excuse me if I am a bit slow.

And yeah, who were the top five?

That's messed up, johnsteed, set 'em straight over there.

We (well, maybe just me ;) ) were talking junk to you right and left on the first table pina and I started out on. Then, I was moved back and forth to different tables so I lost track of you.

I can see why this poker stuff is addictive ... I had never played online before and maybe once or twice IRL. I even came in 10th out of 27 players because someone beat my all-in on that darn river even though I had two pair.

As everyone's said, kudos to Bryan, Ed and 32Red ... I had a great time and hope to be able to participate in many more.

High point, though, was getting the bounty on ye ole' 'Meister's head!

Hahaha, trash talkin'... and I wasn't there! You see (oddly), I love that stuff. Geez, I stopped crying several hours ago (knowing that there will be another Freeroll soon enough), and now... tears again. I missed the opportunity of getting schooled and talked-down-to by people from North Carolina and Toronto? My "John Steed" handle could never compete with the adroit mind of a Richard Dean Anderson and the insanity of a Jack Torrance (The Shining). Intimidating and downright scary!!! Shucks!!! Next time...

Same here chuchu59 (thank you). Actually, I'm only an hour ahead of you, so it'll be the 4 cups of MAXIM coffee doing the talking at that point of the morning I'm afraid. :D

I think the whole "Freeroll" is a great way to solidify the Casinomeister.com community. Well done good people.

 Sounds like Tim, ha ha!! Two funnies in one morning Slotster...thanks for the chuckles.

Hey, who you calling nuts? LOL....a missed opportunity JS, but there will be a next time!!

I couldn't agree more JohnSteed, this time around was so much more fun for me being with people I knew.

Big thanks to Ed & Bryan. My only complaint is that I did not sit at the table with either of them and thus had no chance of getting the $100 prize.

This tourney also shows many that many members are there for the fun. Quite a number of active posters who just happened not to have posted so much in recent months simply did not have the requisite 40 rep points to join. Once they posted in this thread, whoosh they immediately had 40+ rep points whereas some newbies who only wanted to join the tourney got nilch extra rep points. Obviously, the extra number of contestants would have made the prize money harder to get but none at the tourney really cared about this. We only wanted to chat and share.

While we are still on the poker subject,I would like to ask a maybe silly question. If,while playing at a full table of 10 at Holdem, what are the chances of an unsuited AK winning if I went all-in right at the start? For the same hand, what would be the chances of beating QQ if only the player with this hand went along with me? I have seen many players at other poker rooms do this,so it must mean a strategy to some.

Hi to you all!

Just to let you all know the final winning positions in Sundays Freeroll.
Sorry it has taken so much time to get them posted but a certain head honcho has had the results scrutinised over and over to ensure that they are indeed correct!
I think he now accepts the result and we all now have to live with him having just squeezed into the Top 20 places!
Monday mornings are hard enough to deal with at the best of times, Ill leave it to your imaginations as to what things were like here at 32Red last Monday morning. Go easy on him next time folks, please.

The names used are the aliases and may not reflect an individuals Casinomeister handle.

1st ergopro $160
2nd thatsBAD $64
3rd destructor $48
4th copperguy $32
5th beaston72 $16
19th 32Red_Ed

Sounds like you all had a lot of fun, so heres to the next one.

Regards
Pat

Did he hire an independent auditing firm? LOL.....poor guy.

Exqueeze me Path. What, no standing ovation for the player (me) who was first out? You must realize how extraordinarily difficult it is to raise on a clearly zero hand............

OMG Suzecat...roflmaooo!! Thanks for the laugh. I was out 4th, so don't feel bad. Next time the women will reign supreme, as in all other things in life. :D

Note-to-self: I'm going to have to start winning again (and a lot), to be able to afford that sex change operation before it's too late.

Steed

Pitter, patter...best get at 'er JS!! Time's a wasting, lol. :D

Hey here's an idea! :what:

Maybe I can auction off my genitals to the good people over at Golden Palace. That should cover the cost of the operation and then some...

Sad to think though, that they'd just toss in one of their warehouses with all the other junk they randomly buy-up.

AAAHHHHHAAAA.......JohnSteed, you guys are killing me tonight. But if I were you, I'd be very careful about giving Golden Palace any new ideas, lol.

Why is it some people (Slotster was the other one) leave these opportunities for jokes so wide open an 18-wheeler Mac truck could drive through 'em? ;)

Sorry, John, can't resist ... they wouldn't bid on it because all they could tattoo on it would be "Go Pe". :D

Ahhh, I'm so witty sometimes ...

Golly Macgyver, right where it counts. I'm so bummed-out about that comment, I'm not even sure they could tattoo anything more than the "G" at this point. :(

John,

You know by now that I am just the man standing next to the man and I am but a mere pawn in your king's world.

One day, I hope to be like you when I die. ;)

OK, I'm drunk tonight, celebrating a personal and professional goal I thought wasn't possible ... forgive me.
