Thankyou everyone. I honestly didn't see all of what Mark had written down under the scores, i was too busy trying to write back to thank him. By the time i had read what he wrote, he had already credited my account.
In my case patrina, it payed to stay up late i guess lol cus it was around 11pm for me.
Did anyone get lucky and win with thier prize? It only took 2 hrs for me to lose it all.
I did play a little different though. My usual betting is around 0.25- 0.50cent spins and i upped it to 0.50- 1.25 a spin.
This past month i did really well playing 0.50cent spins on the 25line slots on my deposits, while in September i did better spinning 0.25cent a spin.

I have found something strange though that you guys and girls might think im nuts with but i am only really lucky spinning in these time brackets (this is my time in Sydney) 4am - 8am and 4pm - 8pm.
Outside of those times i dont do as good and features hardly come up. UK time that would be 5pm - 9pm and 5am - 9am i think.
Has anyone else noticed this happen to them at different times of the day?

Anyways i wish you all luck for this month and i promise not to hog the prizes again I wont be playing as much these next few months as its a very busy time of year for me.

Haha! This is probably the biggest misunderstanding of the year. Normally, Mark will post the winners list and the top winner will immediately thank him. It's pure coincidence that at the bottom of Maark's post he had offered $32 as a result of double-play (orwhatever is called) by one of the winners and it looked as though Rustyroo thanked him for that offer and gobbled up the $32. Frankly, I doubt anyone who played so many spins to rank 1st will show such greed so dont feel so bad about it Rustyroo.

Well, me too. I play so much at MG that I have come to know many of the games. They certainly have their ups and downs, and always have done. Now though, so many games seem to simply have their downs and downs, and instead of nice upward streaks, it seems to be an isolated hit and then a long downhill run straight away. Before, I would play on after a big hit, and would often get a couple more, and still manage to cash-out a decent amount, but now as soon as something hits, the rest of the games go into vacuum cleaner mode.

Munchkins is now entering month 7 of a long period of significant change in the behaviour of the scatters. There are many spins where not even ONE will appear, and bonus rounds are ALWAYS 100+ apart. It was so very different before, single scatters would fall nearly every other spin, and pairs would be quite frequent. Bonus rounds would usually fall WITHIN 100 spins, often under 50 spins, and 100+ spin intervals were far less frequent. 300+ without was almost unseen in an average session, now it seems almost the norm.

Another favourite, 3 card poker, seems a little odd too. I get long sequences of unplayable hands, those well under Q high, and I seem unable to hit any straights, and only a few flushes. On the other hand, the dealer tends to get loads of Aces (to beat my K high and Q high playable hands), and plenty of flushes and straights. I also seem to hit a ceiling, where I cannot get above my original balance, and this persists for a while, then a super hoover mode kicks in and I get a long streak of consecutive losing or pushed plays and bust out. I do not seem to get such corresponding WINNING streaks any more, as I used to. I still see the dealer getting great sessions where they can hit 2 3OK and 3 straight flushes, while MY session has struggled to produce more than a pair of straights and a few flushes.

The exact same just happened again, for the umpteenth consecutive time at MG. I played the Purple Lounge bonus 25 for 25, and had a nice win on the ******** ****** slot game, and had a balance of around 250, but with some WR left. I tried Munchkins - completely DEAD, Ho Ho Ho, managed a bonus round, not much really, so went to 3 card poker. I could never get much over my starting point, but the dealer was rattling of straights and flushes like they were going out of fashion. After a spell of hovering around 250, the dealer suddenly started beating every one of my playable hands with something a little better. I get a pair, he gets a flush or straight, or higher pair - OR he doesn't qualify. I don't see flushes or straights at all for 20 hands, and my balance plummets with a long run of folds, pushes, or losses, and hits near zero. I find I have only cleared 10 of my 25 bonus balance, and just blow the remaining 25.
These bad sessions should be expected, but not nearly every time, they should be mixed in with many more less evil ones, and a few good ones.

MG say there have been no changes, yet at the same time they changed Mega Moolah so obviously, and then tried to convince us we imagined it when we started asking about what we were seeing, and used the "variance" argument as an attempt at an explanation.

I would suspect that a simple explanation is that the RNG does NOT select the individual reel stops or cards, but that it selects a RESULT from a probability table, and then tasks the game engine to produce that result in the form of slot reels or cards. It has already been revealed that the doubling game on VP (pick a card) works like this, and that so do the pick x of y slot bonus rounds.

Oh i can remember the days when munchkins would hit almost every time for me within 30-40 spins and would a lot of the time retrigger in the free spins and then after my win i'd move to the munchkins clones, hohoho (hohono now) and twister and do well on these too... now you have to lose alot to get to the free spins and then you usually don't win back what you lost trying to trigger it.

I don't know about you but for me, constant losing and crappy play started happening a few months in from the US laws on online gambling.
My guess was that the US made up most of the customer base and they had to tighten up everything in order to still make good profits.

Your theories really do seem very possible and the more i think about it, the more i see it... and the proof is in the spins/hands.
All we need is for some disgruntled employee to come forward and speak the truth about what has been done, because i think that's the only way we will get it out of them.

I think it would be a serious battle between the two of them.
It costs alot of money to keep those reels spinning and in the end I kind of wondered if it was worth it

How about a tournament within the MPV tournament software that is ACTUALLY FAIR!!

None of this never having enough time to play more than half the coins, or the frustration of a bonus round cut short because it triggered too late in the session. NO "free" tournaments with loads of continues and even more rebuys that is really NOT "free" at all.

Where they run on number of spins, or amount of wagering, the prize money should be worth the effort (and expense) of trying to win.
The Slotmeister is not too bad in this respect, since it is the number of SPINS that count, and rules out domination by high rollers who could let loose a few hundred spins at 67.50 in the closing half hour and take the prize.


Other than the three of us, there are many who might call it a BAD idea, unless WE get banned


I have one other idea, and that is to have TWO prizes, with players playing both for themselves, and a charity of their choice, which they can promote, and have next to their names in the leaderboard (not compulsory though). Many TV game shows run on a similar model, especially the "celebrity" versions.

Bit of a hollow victory though, it seems Apple are compatable with sod all, so 99% of video content will not work on the iPod player.

Funnily enough, while Apple bitch & moan about Microsoft making their systems so popular that everything is made to be compatable with Windows first, and MAC second, it is APPLE'S choice to make the iPod compatable with F*** all else

I use the online options for the main UK television channels, and the BBC has extended it's catch up service so that programmes can be downloaded and played on portable devices.....

This might not be "legal" though. It may well convert video into Apple format, but may ONLY work for "pirated" or old video content. IF it works for rights managed content, such is available from UK TV channel websites, using xvid4psp may be "illegal tampering with protected content". It is probably only a step up from using a video tape recorder though which is technically illegal, but action is only taken if the copy is then mass produced and sold.

The same problem exists with the older iPods and the iPhone, they are compatable with nothing outside the very restrictive world of Apple. MAC users should know how "restrictive" this world can be when it comes to finding the MAC equivalent for what Windows users take for granted. All content put out for digital download is designed to work with Windows, and this includes the majority of portable players (video or music). Usually, this means it is naturally NOT compatable with Apple devices.

This is a bit odd, considering it was Apple that accused Microsoft of squeezing out the competition my making Windows the "must have" OS to have any chance of interfacing with 90% of the rest of the world. Apple are now seeking to do the very same with it's own devices such as the iPod and iPhone, making them compatable ONLY with a very small number of Apple sponsored outlets, whereas other manufacturers make their devices broadly compliant with open industry standards and for interface with Windows PCs.

Apple seem to win on desirability, but it seems too many people are taken in by fashion, rather than function.

The iPod is not, in fact, an "MP3 Player" at all, even though it is classed as such. iPods have their own file format, and will NOT PLAY an MP3 at all. With other devices, all you have to do is straight copy the MP3 from the PC to the device, but with the iPod, you have to convert the files first. If you have BOUGHT the MP3s from a digital music store (other than iTunes), then you are F*****, they simply WONT WORK on an iPod.

Apple might find this situation gives them a nasty bite on the a$$, as all it would take is for another manufacturer to steal the fashion high ground from the iPod/iPhone range, and release a device with the style of Apple, but combined with the broad functionality that allows it to work with the majority of content on offer. It has almost happened, with the Channel 5 "Gadget show" marking an Apple device as the "best" for design and performance, but noting that you can't actually get much in the way of content that allows you to actually enjoy this performance - and marking it down for this.

I have already found out the hard way. I won an iPod ages ago, but couldn't use it as unlike all other players on the market then, it didn't support my old OS as you couldn't simply drag & drop MP3s into it, but had to go via the iTunes client, which requires XP and above. I didn't have my new XP machine at the time, only this old Windows 98 one.
