Ok, take ONE look and tell me the difference between this and the former version.:rolleyes:

Yep! You guessed it, a 60x bet bonus buy...

And you can play it now on mobile! :D

The slot is some HV monster. The features mostly don't pay more than 10x bet, so rather touch and go to get into profit.

Did the review earlier and took 20 features in a row at 150 a pop (2.50 bet)....only once did I gt 152 back, most were 6 - 50 credits, far off the prize.

The game has an RTP of 95.299% only, so that is another factor that add to the volatility.

4:32 accurately sums up what is going to happen to your balance if you go on a bonus buy binge with this.
 That was my chair sliding back across the floor, it had just been polished.

I feel most if not all providers will soon jump on this band wagon

"2019 - The year of the feature buy" where all slots rake in as much get rich quick profit before the UKGC and other governing bodies jump in and ban them totally.

Let' see.....

I can't help but think the same mate. Blueprint wasted no time once they got the Megaways licence and basically stole a march on every other developer.
I am a little shocked that other developers have appeared to be so slow in following suit, particularly Nextgen, who appear to have become a forgotten developer.
If there was any Nextgen game that would fit the bonus buy model though, 300 Shields is definitely it.
If this version becomes a hit, don't be surprised to see the likes of King Kong, Medusa II and Gorilla Go Wild getting the bonus buy treatment soon.
But Nextgen have missed a trick bigtime (pun very much intended) by taking so long to create this "sequel".

I really hope that other developers do not follow suit though and that the whole Megaways and bonus buy thing is merely "this year's fad".
I do not want to see this becoming the norm.

It's only my opinion, but playing slots should be a bit like playing poker.
Lots of folded hands/dead spins with the odd moment of excitement and/or anticipation when you enter a pot/feature.

I know some people like them, but from a RG perspective they are horrendous, and considering the max stake on FOTB's news recently, I can't see how these won't be targeted considering you can lose over a grand without even spinning the reels.

I do agree with you, BUT how is it really any different to putting 1k on any other type of bet whether it be football/tennis/horses etc I mean my mate bet £1400 the other day on a footy match in the 80th min to score a goal, madness! thats about 6 months of my gambling budget on one bet! lol

I dont want them to be banned as i like the odd one if i not got the time to commit but want a feature, and the ones you can work towards a freebie eg EC are ok too.

OK - this game is absolutely toxic beyond belief. Makes the EC bonus buy and gamble look like playing cards for matchsticks. I have just played 3 hours at 50p/£30 buy-ins. I advise in the strongest possible terms you do NOT play this on feature buys!! You've been warned.

It's a different type of gambling though isn't it? Do a £1000 feature buy on EC, gamble and you can lose it all in under 30 seconds, £1000 on spurs to win today and it lasts 90 minutes, and you have the option of cash out etc.

Apart from the bonus buy which does look bad it looks a lot clearer and smoother. What's the ave spin count for normal feature drop?

Also every game that had a buying feature should be stopped. Look at genie 100x for buyin and that can still give less then 5x, spinal tap can give zero x . they should all be stopped it takes away the whole point of playing slots in the first place, the enjoyment, the frustration, the highs and lows. Get rid and ban all feature buys and get back to good ole slotting.

FTR I made the 1k demo at 30 quid a go last for 67 features before I bust. 4 got to 300x. One of those paid not one winning spin at 300x and I ended up with 19 back. 3 features paid ZERO!! 15 paid less than £1. Only 9 features yielded over 30 quid. Three were over 100 but of them one was a peak 25x multiplier and paid 192, two were on the 300x and paid 337 and 232 respectively.

Of the four occasions I hit the 300x spins, two were as a result of a retrigger on the 25x spins with 3 scatters.

Funnily enough there WAS a feature buy slot on the FOBTs many, many years ago, maybe 2008 - 2010ish? From memory it was like a Merlin themed Book clone, so you could pay up to £100(!) for the bonus buy and obviously most of the time end up with much less back in return!

These days you just have the up to £50 'fortune spins' which don't guarantee anything other than an empty wallet very quickly, although you can virtually guarantee yourself a pointless Free Spins or Leprechaun feature on Rainbow Riches Pick And Mix which won't be returning your stake 99.9% of the buys!

Yeah this looks like the new popular trend with slot providers. I cant remember which slots I opened last week but when I did I noticed there some bonus buys available to them and I thought ..yeahhhh..no.

Exactly my experience.

Monster HV in the free spins round. But then it is understandable, you need many low paying features to feed THE big one.

Yes, and that's why the feature buy is far more irresponsible on some games/bonus mechanics than others. White Rabbit you're pretty safe for a while due to the feature returning regularly 70-80% on average of the buy-in cost when not hitting the biggie. EC and Genie Jackpots etc. pretty much the same barring reckless gambles. But this game just really isn't suitable for feature buyers. This is going to tuck people up and pay little for 4 or 5 at least, by then the player is significantly down and could well tilt in frustration as they try and recover the balance of hit a big win. Dangerous stuff.
