Your Input Please 1000s of skybet customers lost there boosted bet over this, Are sky right or wrong to make this a losing bet.

If this had gone down as an attempt on goal 1000s of people would of just won a boosted odds bet, But skybet deemed it to be a "pass" and not a "shot"

Its clearly was a shot on target IMO, what do you guys think ?

Hmm, doesn't really look like a legitimate attempt on goal does it......more like he's trying to just beat the defender (which he gives up trying about halfway through) and head it onto the oncoming striker

He may not be the brightest spark but there's no way Mane's trying to head goalwards from back there

But it would of gone in if goalkeeper wasn't there so it was a shot on target but I do see skybets view of it being not exactly a typical shot on target

He's tussling with the defender just to WIN the header, nevermind direct it at goal with enough power

2) His teammate's running in across goal and there's another defender back there. So unless the ball takes on magical powers and zig-zags past everyone there's no way he would have beaten the keeper. The keeper could have sat down and thrown a hat on that 'goal attempt' lol

Saying that, with absolutely no one else on the field of play it may just have crept in by about 2024

If a player shoot on goal and miss by 50 meters, is that a shot on goal?

If a pass ends up in the goal, is that not a goal then, but a pass?

The main issue is that sporting sites have recorded it as a shot on target and other haven't, so surely if theirs any doubt sky should just honour it but they to tight to do so imo

Yes. I did agree with your potw if it was unclear. To let bet pages get away with making their own definitions of whats a shot at goal etc, could eventually be twisted as far as a pass that ends in a goal, isnt a goal but a pass. Hope sky dont get away with this.

Pretty sure they will let it slide and just go cold turkey about it on twitter and not respond to anyone. Its a tricky one tbh

Wasn't a shot at goal. If it had went in would have counted as a shot at goal regardless. Aka a fluke shot on goal. He headed the ball to the ground not the goal.

Skybet settle on Opta stats don't they? So the question is, what do they say, if Opta state it wasn't then it's bit unfair to blame Skybet for this. They may payout as a goodwill gesture, but unless Opta stats back up what you say, then they are in the right not to.

There was a similar thing a year or 2 ago with a corners bet, last kick of the game was a corner, Opta originally said the corner wasn't taken as the ball wasn't touched by another player after the player taking it tapped it from the corner flag (last kick of the game), but changed the stats the next day after it was pointed out the game can't end on a dead ball situation. Skybet resettled all bets after the stats were changed.
