Accredited Poker Room Criteria |
How does a poker room become an "accredited" poker room? How do I choose who is presented here?
- In most cases, I will meet face to face with the persons managing the poker room before it's listed on this site.
- They must be able to take care of any player issue swiftly and professionally
- They must provide rapid response to customer support queries - telephone, live chat or email response - from thoughtful, well informed CSR's and support staff available 24/7.
- They must adhere to their own posted payment processing schedule
- They must only use seals, banners, logos, etc. to which they are entitled.
- They must have no affiliation with "fake" players' advocacy groups.
- They must be willing to divulge information about their business.
- They must have a clean history of fairness towards their customers.
- They must be licensed in a jurisdiction that offers gambling licenses.*
*Under special circumstances I will endorse poker rooms licensed in Costa Rica. This endorsement is based mainly on the poker room's history of professionalism and player satisfaction.

Before You Join a Poker Room |
The same rules apply as in signing up at any casino. Read this section first (I hate repeating myself).
But besides that - a couple of things:
- Never ever transfer funds or make monetary deals with other players! This is called collusion, and you will probably get a boot up the butt for doing so. Do not collude. It's considered cheating by most poker sites and you will get caught and lose your funds.
- Don't cheat. This sounds like a given, but it's not. When you play at a casino, it's you against the casino. Some players admire those that can cheat a casino out of their funds; sort of an "us vs them" sort of thing. Poker rooms are different. It's a social thing, and when you cheat, you are cheating other players. And when players cheat, they usually get crucified.
