YouTube in the past 20 hours have updated their policies in relation to gambling content, which will likely go down as well as a bucket of sick with 'some' of those that love to stream their slot playing antics online.
Effective March 19th later this month, YouTube will be restricting content creators that use their platform from mentioning 'certain' gambling sites. Specifically those sites that are not licensed in the jurisdictions that the videos are aimed at. Furthermore, the new policies could also see age restrictions being enforced on all gambling content videos uploaded to the social media giant's platform.
YouTube states that it may remove content that "promises guaranteed returns," regardless of whether the gambling service is approved by Google.
