Question Youtube removing Streamers?

Yep one of the streamers who got banend today got an e-mail explaining why. He is a member here so if he wants to chip in he will. Not my place :)

It makes sense to age restrict gambling because it is a 18+ activity. I'm not a member of YouTube, so logging in will be a problem if I want to see some of the big win videos.

Ok, but why not email first and ban later?
Also, this action is another one of the type "do things that make us look good but are meaningless".
To protect people from gambling dangers you need to educate them. Do they really think it is possible to become 18 and don't know what gambling, cards, poker or slots are?
If you are going to know anyway, shouldn't the effort be that you are properly educated about RTP, playtime, where to play, manage your bankroll, safe gambling, deception tricks in slots and more?

Unless the point is to be completely clueless when they can gamble and lose all the money (now that they have a job) they have!

Perhaps a single discreetly embedded link to a blog run by the streamer would be a more elegant solution.

The blog would ideally be a social type blog, but with the affiliate links embedded discreetly within the content... might buy a bit of time.

The channel that I had for GamingSlots was shut down a few years back, it was ridiculous because it was based on some bogus complaints by competitors no doubt. Back then the only thing we did in the video was have our website brand at the end of the video. Now it seems YT'rs put a lot more marketing into their videos.

It sounds like their might have been a purge, but hopefully Dunover and others here haven't been caught up in it.

Question please.
How do you put the 18+ logo on to Youtube videos

Good question mate, something I've often wondered too, can upload em that's about it lol

What I do know is YT forces you to log in (via a gmail account) for anything close to or considered / contains adult content etc.

Fairly straight forward for them to do this their end, whether they will and common sense will prevail, who knows

I have ended up putting something on my subscribe logo ha.
Also put a 18+ and Gambleaware on my channel banner.
I dont often upload nowadays, but its there now until I can find a better way of doing it

It seems that YT is continuing it's quest to de-monetize anything they consider not kid/family friendly. About this time last year they started de-monetizing channels with dark content like Rob Dyke and Cayleigh Elyise. Mind you there is nothing shocking about these two channels I have used as an example they are both responsible and well done and don't sensationalize violence and crime the same way Investigation Discovery or C. I. channel. So this year it's the turn for the gambling channels. Pretty soon all we will be left with is cartoons and god forbid kitten channels

FYI Casino Daddy became a partner on Twitch a few months ago and said because of that they can't stream on You Tube too.

Given that youtube is a company in a country where online gambling is mostly banned it was only a question of time until they started to crackdown on gambling related channels / streamers in earnest.

The thing though is that nobody really knows why those channels were closed yesterday. I made some enquiries and nothing concrete to why exactly Youtube took the action that they did.

I don’t think slot machine videos should be monetized due to the irresponsible gambling some of these people promote. Many of them are misleading, as if they have never lost at a casino trip in Las Vegas. I have always been against the glorification of gambling. I will not watch YT videos from those people who recklessly game just for attention.

I feel too many of Kim and Daddy’s viewers were minors when it came to their behaviour. Then offering a lottery to them further harms their standing.

Only 2 of high profile streamers channels were closed, the rest still runs just fine. Its very likely they banned those channels because of "raffles" that you have to pay to be a part of. I remember even twitch banned them because of similar reason so yt doing the same thing doesnt surprise me at all

They have been shut down as ita not a true representation of what gambling is like.

They have infinite funds to play with (believe it ir not) and for some of us who play anyway know that they arent always playing with money they have earned themselves.

It doesnt overly bother me but for people who come across this stuff on youtube all they are ever seeing is BIG WINS posted. They may not look into the fact these streamers do this as a daily job pretty much.

I thought when they all sold casinogrounds and made their millions they might have given up. But the greed always takes over.

Youtube is not a kids site and its time namby pamby doo gooders stopped trying to spoil people's fun by using kids as an excuse.

I do love a good "namby pamby doo gooders" counter argument. I'm with you Steve - why should we as a civilised society take measures to protect children from viewing content which isn't appropriate for minors on the 2nd biggest content platform in the world? Why should the welfare of some annoying underage kids get in the why of my fun eh? Why is it even illegal to gamble unless your 18 or older? These bloody namby pamby do gooders.

Do you have any sources or proof to back these claims with, in regards to the streams mentioned in the OP?

True representation or not YT should allow tagging videos for +18 only in upload settings so only ppl that are logged in and are +18 can watch it(not gonna spot kids from making fake accounts but its something ) unless it is a thing already and i just missed it.

Don't drink alcohol kids might see you and try it, don't smoke kids might see you and try it, don't drive kids might see it and try it, don't eat crisps kids might see you and get fat. Bloody 21st century snowflake generation.

Don't call a country a sh*thole that's racist except a country isn't a race a person is blah blah blah.

What sort of a world have we now become where everyone is offended and trying to protect everyone.

Kids should not be used as an excuse to ban things because adults are not able to control what their kids view, adults if you don't want kids to see certain content online then control your children and censor it.

did anyone know whats happened to Rob from LGSlots??
He has told that many more new stream projects/competitions will follow every month but after his last Slots Competition stream last month were nothing else to see from him anywhere?!?
If LGSlots now out of Order?
If anybody know more about it?

Good, hope they all get banned. Sick of the amount of fake shite these large streamers put out on Youtube. YT should have no gambling content at all.

What is the harm with gambling content ? If YouTube policy will ever change, then every one will follow suite. But until then ... just search the things you like. Why be sick of something you don't like when there is plenty of other things to like ?

Have you got a reference to the age restriction requirement on Youtube? I don't have a problem with it, but it will mean a reduction in viewing numbers because a lot of people don't browse Youtube when not logged in.
It requires you to Sign In to watch the video if you are not logged in. And if you don't have an account (but it's quite hard not to have at least one Google account), then you need to register one and "claim" to be 18+ in order to watch.

Question please.
How do you put the 18+ logo on to Youtube videos
You can do it the same way you put your copyright (text / image) logo in the video. Can be done with any program for video watermarks (mostly are paid ones, like Aoao Video Watermark Pro) or even with Windows Moviemaker (free program) !

Naok777, makes sense ! But man, I really hope you are wrong ! I think you too wish to be wrong on your assumption, lol. But cold thinking, probably that's the case. But who knows ? I am more optimist and think the time will tell us which is the case.

This crossed my mind watching various high roller streamers (more on Twitch than YouTube but it is the same thing), but do you have any hard evidence ?
Otherwise it is just supposition and can't be taken serious. If what you say is real, then I'd think we can talk about money laundering at the involved casinos ?
