It will not affect our generation directly, and if enough people wake up and smell the coffee, we can possibly avoid it, but this is the long term goal. The only way to beat it is to resist at every opportunity, even if it means going without certain things; try to get away from the latest technological trickery, every single piece has an ulterior motive, otherwise we would not be getting it... if it has the word 'smart' prefixing it, it is anything but.I'm going to keep that comment away from the missus, she too is rather 'perturbed' by the way things are seemingly headed, most of all, ye olde microchipping.
It's already in limited use, and apparently optional to those that use it. How long before it becomes compulsory with every employer? Have your ID on a chip embedded under your skin, track you at all times etc
