Advertising like this should be banned, it also doesnt give a good impression of the casino as this is the sort of thing you expect from virtual casino, not rival

It IS banned, at least here in the UK. Comes under the rules governing "misinformation" in advertising material.

If they didn't make a name for themselves for having this super-zealotry governed by this "central database", and the attitude of "computer says no" players get from support, perhaps Rival casinos would have a decent and loyal player base by now.

P*ss off a player - they will probably leave and play elsewhere. Try to get them suckered in again with a fake ND chip, they will be p*$$ed off even more, and may decide to boycott OTHER Rival casinos associated to the one that got them mad. They will then be LESS likely to come back than if they had been given an honest, but crap, offer.

Ok, me to. I got it was not impressed at all!

But on the other hand now, The wagering on the 100% bonus was just 14xD&B.

The 200% bonus was only 20xD&B, But The 200$ min deposit was not great-but a lot of the time I would like that.

Both bonuses had low wagering-no min or max cash out, and the bonus was cashable. These bonuses are the best on offer-amongst the whole Rival group, compare to the others right now that have 30xD&B and min and max cash outs-with the bonus not being cashable.

Which I think is why they wanted you to log in and take a look with out under cutting the other Rival casinos. They got it all wrong, BIG TIME! They just had to show the tacs in the promo email, and of course-no BS in the subject line.

I get these good offers from Davincis on a regular basis, where KK says he's struggling to find decent Rival bonuses. (I was going to PM him-to let him know)

He will be around, I would like to hear a reply KK. Are you going to hit it-on a regular basis and stop the whining.:p

PS, I have had 100% bonuses from davincis as low as 12x wagering.

I get a lot of those emails from that casino, not to mention I can not even see the print on the page with the colors they choose . The whole thing annoys me.

I get them as well

What with the database issues you'd think these Rival casinos would realise that players are not fools.
The funny thing these mailer make these Rival casinos bigger goofs than they already are!

Cheers

No - I'll never stop whining about Rivals crap bonuses! :p

You're right though, I was getting almost no, or just crap offers from all Rivals for ages, but then about a month ago I noticed I was getting some sensible ones again!
I took one from SlotoCash which I did very well on, and because of this I took a pretty large one (with very reasonable WR) from DaVinci's... so far, so bad. :(
Lost all my bonus & nearly half of my deposit, but I ain't done yet - I'll do my best to get out of this hole!

I got this one too, and was very dissapointed finding nothing in my account.
Made a deposit there last week, took the 100% and lost the D+B in what must be a new world record.
Low rolling only, 8 different slots, all cold as ice.
So I thought they came up with a nice ND, but I was wrong..
Vegas Regal does it different, they gave me 20 free yesterday and did not send any notification, lol. No problem

Ok, here comes my harvest of stupid, wrong or misleading mail for this weekend.
First there is ofcourse the one the OP mentioned, DVG, my account was credited with a zero, a dot and 2 more zero's

Fortune Lounge sent me an email, congrats with opening an account at Platinum Play. Now its time to pick up your first deposit bonus.
:confused: Really? I made already 3 deposits there and picked up my SUB for sure.

A mail from Grant Vip : Buy 10 and get 32 FREE at 32RED!
Really? Let me guess, I have to open an account there?
Oh yes, open an account today and receive 32 fr...
ALREADY HAVE!!!

But the best one, the one that tops them all, is the one I got from Jackpot Capital.
Not an Email, but a real envelope, with a CDrom, and a personal invitation and last but not least, a FREE BONUS CHECK, $50 to try their casino. COOL!!
That was supposed to be my sunday-afternoon fun.
Supposed, cuz when I tried to open an account, the server refused to log me on. Please contact support.
Contacted support by mail, got pointed to their T&C, term 25:
"Players from the Netherlands are not allowed to have an account at JC"
:eek2::confused::mad::mad:

My adress clearly shows NETHERLANDS as the bottom line, and its on the envelope and once more on the invitation.
Now that really pissed me off.
Got an apology for inconvinience, but no answer to my question WHY Dutch players are refused.
But I guess its the same reason why Rivals bonus ban us, cuz we are the best slotplayers in the world, right?

Then WHY even SEND the CDs to people from the Netherlands, this is simply WASTE, and this is the kind of waste that is 100% UNNECESSARY, yet makes it's contribution to the environmental damage that many of our activities cause. The casino should be FINED for such completely unnecessary environmental damage, as should other companies that create a mess for NO POSSIBLE BENEFIT WHATSOEVER, such as targetting a country where 100% of recipients CANNOT EVER take up the offer, or sending a junk mailer for a NEW "account" for something like a credit card, when the recipient ALREADY has one.
Whilst the impacts of each of these is miminal, the sum total has created genuine concern, and we suffer because of the sum total of estimated environmental damage, and are made to pay these "carbon taxes" on many of our other activities, chiefly driving here in the UK.

I get them as well

It's actually not that funny at all being one of their affiliates and this type of trash advertising is certainly not helping the customer retention rate there. Most all Rival affiliates that I have talked to lately have said that their player deposits have fallen off drastically over the last couple of months. Shit like this definitely does not help the situation.

Well, Rival reps refuse to disclose this kind of financial information, but affiliates CAN work this out for themselves if they pool their actual tracking stats, not just their comments.

If a large number of affiliates ALL say that the players they track have deposited far less lately, it does not matter how well the casino reps "spin" this, they are not making as much money as before.

The "marketing" seems to be a reaction to this, more aggressive to the point of being misleading and even predatory, and with less regard to rules relating to information privacy, coupled with an increase in "spam" (and not all from affiliates).

Rival are following the wrong path - it leads to the edge of a precipice.

There is another path, look at why your EXISTING players are deserting YOUR casino, presumably in favour of another.
If YOUR casino offers LESS "value" per "dollar" than another, the other will steadily steal your players.

As a player, I can say this is true. I would deposit among my existing accounts where I thought the best value was to be had. This might be a deposit bonus, but equally could be another kind of promotion, such as a tournament (preferrably with live scoreboard), or a cash back.

Irrational behaviour and incompetence would ALSO put me off. Rival have demonstrated BOTH these off putting behaviours. Irrational - database driven:rolleyes: Incompetence - CS (CS say tes, database say no - or vice versa). Competitiveness - Their casino offers 10% phantom bonus with 99x playthrough (I am exaggerating of course - but if a Rival player would like to contradict me on this......:D), other casino offers cashable bonus with 30x playthrough. far more "value" in the latter.

These misleading mailers will bite them in the ass later though. When they REALY HAVE credited a player's account, the player will not believe them, and will immediately bin the email rather than yet again going on a fruitless search for a credit that does not exist. Many may even be tagging these as "report as spam" because they are so misleading as to resemble the kind of affiliate spam we get - this will get the casino's other mailers entangled in spam filters.
