You ever get bored playing after winning?

This may sound completely stupid to some, but now a days after I have a good session with a cashout or 2; I get very bored continuing to play.

It sort of feels like I got what I came here to achieve. I'll sometimes just sit there mindlessly clicking and thinking what can I play now; or worse, what can I do now.

I think to some of us, it's the losing that keeps us coming back to play; since we are left feeling angry and unsatisfied.

Anyone ever feel the same?

Yep, I totally agree with this. There can be overkill with slotting, especially when all criteria have been, namely cashing out and having had long playtime to go with it.

I had this the other week, I had a nice cashout of about £900 and even left myself the dreaded 'leftover funds' to get more. But it wasn't the same as I'd already played everything at least twice and some hilarious ups and downs along the way. I wasn't likely to repeat the feat and my nerves were shot from the eight-hour adrenaline frenzy anyway.

Probably more to do with the mental exhaustion associated with gambling. After a good night's rest though, I soon came to my senses and carried on as before.

Such is gambling!

Exactly the same for me this week.

Cashed out the same as yourself.

Spent on family and some beer and still have £150 there to use, and I don't even know what to do with it

I think I'm going mad! :D

Yep same here, bored and fed up with the 'same old routine'

Even ventured onto games I've never played before to try and overcome this but after a few spins, I just can't seem to stick it out and find myself being dragged back to the old (and now boring) faithful

Break usually works which I usually due during school summer holidays, but I do need to find another hobby.

I think a break and a new hobby is definitely in order for a week or so until my losing sessions start back up so I can get a bit of fire back in my belly ;)

Examples for getting bored:

- Every time i go past 300 spins without a bonus round. Thats about 30mins sitting there seeing yet another 2 scatter pay.

- Nearly falling asleep after 500 spins; always have to get up and do something else, even just getting a fresh cupper.

- After bonus round number 5 and still not past 10x bet payout

- No TS or WD for 1000 spins and finally there it is --> 1 reel wild and 1.5x bet payout

But never get bored when winning, never!!!! :D

Winning happens way too infrequently to ever become bored of it.

More like bored of busting out £40-50 at min stakes in less than 10 min without even getting a single trigger or win of 10x bet, am so very bored of this.

Yep - same here. Not stupid at all.

And like Jon, I keep going back to the same old games - even when some haven't been kind to me.
This has been mentioned on the forum several times before, but if you feel stuck in a rut, try doing an A-Z or Z-A through all the slots at your chosen casino - maybe then you'll find something new & exciting to re-spark your interest!

I forgot all about that A-Z idea, thanks for reminding me

Once in a while. I would say it's due to not wanting to lose my profit but that's only at the locals. I usually go to the locals on Friday nights and playing the good machines is difficult and I get bored of waiting for the Sinatra fans to leave their slot and decide to take my money and run.

Happens to me if I play and win at a site without an extensive range of games. If I win I will withdraw most and then with the rest keep playing for hours on and off for days. Gets to the point where I have played almost every game worth playing until I am bored. Only happens once or maybe twice a year though as usually I could play and play and play.
I can even play DOA for hours watching every spin and not get bored!

I can get bored no matter if winning or loosing then I stop no problem. I dont like anyway going hours n hours ... unless I have allot of free time and decent bank roll. But playing for the sake of it .. better then to take a break :)

Just a thought on the A-Z or Z-A idea. I have sometimes tried this when I am testing a casino out and fancy a change from my favourites. However, I find myself being very judgemental about slots when playing them for the first time.

For example; if the graphics are bit old fashioned or the reel movements are a bit clunky I just dismiss the slot very quickly. It's the same sort of thing that happens when I meet someone new, haha. Not sure if others here get the same thing.

Anyway, the reason for mentioning this is that all of a sudden I am burning through the AAA's very fast and onto the BBB's with no wins and no enjoyment.

If it hasn't been done already we should create a thread 101 slots to play before you die :) I might get a blog up about it at some point.

IIRC I did a thread on something along the A-Z lines a good while back tho.

Glad this popped up as I had forgotten my own idea  so cheers for that lol.

Tried to find the old thread, think I called it 'Something different to try' or along those lines but I can't find it via search, shame as a few members had thrown some good ideas around IIRC.

Well I tried the A-Z method last night.

Started:

1. 1 Can 2 Can
2. 1429 uncharted seas
3. 300 shields

Took a small hammering on that and wish it wish called THE 300 shields :)

Anyhow after that there were games that I just did not like the look of before I even opened them; so didn't bother.

It's very easy to go "1, 2, skip a few, 99, 100" on this method :D

I like your 101 slots to play before you die better

I tried the A-Z at Video Slots and  there are a lot of games there, never get through it as there are more and more new games every minute  it seems.

About the only possible negative thing anybody could possibly say about VS ;)

I agree, because of the vast amount of games your balance would go from Z-A :p

I am going to give this some thought over the weekend. something like this needs to be done well, its going to take a bit of time to put together. It's also going to need a lot of input from the forum. It would be an awesome project to work on though :)

To Possibly (throw it out if you wish lol) start the ball rolling how about a simple formula to: -

* Reduce the number of slots played but still get a good / never previously played variety.
* Give your bank roll a fighting chance, more so for low rollers/small depositors with small starting balances.

Based on the same A-Z idea.

This is the important part (well for me anyway to try and make sure I stick to the formula and not get 'distracted away' by spotting Immortal Romance or Rhino in the lobby :p)

The day before / few hours before we/you plan to start the session, load up the casino, don't deposit yet, have a pen and paper ready to create a 'play list'

Starting with the 'A's' (or just using the lobby as displayed when you click 'All Games') write down every 'X'th slot (could be every 5, 10, 12 up to the individual)

When you get to the 5th game underline and continue the list, underlining every multiple of 5 games up to say 25

These increments of 5 are milestones to try and get to.

Limit ourselves to say 20 - 30 spins per slot (yes a low amount but surprisingly worked in the past) BUT if we get a hit of over 20 - 30 x we reset and do another 20 - 30 spins, same could happen if we trigger a bonus round.

I have had a good think about it this afternoon since posting early and remembered using this as a wagering and break the boredom routine on the old MG only download clients, IIRC had better than expected results a good 7/10.

Remember also to keep bet size realistic, maybe even lower than your usual (if possible) to give the 'system' a fighting chance.

May need tweaking / expanding but some ideas here to juggle with :D

There is also another idea that might be worth considering. A couple of years ago, one of our members (243lines=daft) did a "STAR OF SLOTS" vote based competition in an elimination bracket format.

It might be worth doing a 2016 version to see how the collective tastes of the forum have changed. I might even do it myself, because I forsee a lengthy break from playing in my not too distant future.

actually i do.

lately i (easily) get bored by both winning and loosing :/ a few years/months ago i really wished for long sessions and long playtime. Now i rarely last 1hr before i start doing stupid things and/or switch to quick mode which really isnt fun at all.

last time this happened was a couple of years ago and it was also when i decided to take a rather long break (2-3 years long). I suspect i might do something similar or just stop with online play alltogether, once for all.

its not that i play too often either, because sometimes i can go a week without playing at all. but today i made 1 deposit of like $15 to play DoA at 9p for royal panda competition thingy, got to $100 in 1hr30m or so and then decided to forget why have i deposited at the first place, got bored and upped bets a bit. Plus i also decided to dual play The Rift at 50p... and like 20 mins later i was at 0 :D

earlier today i got like $20 cashback at william hill and what did i do with it... i played Dynamite Digger at 2 pounds a pop :p

i just dont have patience or will to sit through 40000 spins any longer, hoping for that one big hit so might as well call it a day. Maybe its time for me to hang up my gambling boots
