You discover an exploit- What do you do?

@dionysus ive sussed it!

We research all employees of said casino from cleaners to owners using companies house and social media, government census info etc to make sure we will not adversely effect our fellow mankind.

We skim a little off the top and start buying cash goods from local pet suppliers or online using bitcoin and buy toys and dens, maybe some of those crazy mouse maze things for your animal sanctuary.

Of course, we will save a little for my cars and girls ;)

This is good for Yin and Yang and the balance of the universe not to mention your animal friends. Not so good for my cars and girls probably. All is well and balanced.

It doesn’t take long for bookies in all countries to stop people betting if it’s deemed they are knowledgeable about horse racing or any other sport.

Accounts are quickly halted if anybody has the audacity to get ahead by using knowledge or getting knowledge from somebody else.

Ive been asked to leave numerous establishments in land based casinos/amusements for doing nothing wrong other than using my ability and knowledge on British AWP gaming machines.

It’s part and parcel of the business. Operators / casinos / bookies can’t have it all their own way, and they don’t.

If anybody either luckily or by experimenting through unusual tactics, or being able to figure out how the maths behind the game work manage to earn a few quid out of it then it’s fair game.

Comparisons to stealing from friends or robbing OAP’s of their pensions is completely different from using knowledge and brain power to defeat the odds. Whether it be by betting tactically on football or horses or figuring out a weakness in how either online random games are programmed or compensated AWP’s.

You just have to use the knowledge wisely.

This is often the undoing!!

I would only exploit one company namely BTG,I sent them messages about a fault on White Rabbit missing
pays out prior to starting a feature when buying,no reponse whatsover even though the fault was eventually
fixed.I dont think even Daniel at VS could get any answers out of them. Was trying to help them to do a quiet fix
but not even a thank you so if I did find a advatage bug on one of the games, i certainly would not tell
them and would happily exploit it just for their ingnorance

I couldn't exploit the bug, irrelevant of how much I could win, I would inform the casino and/or provider, any kind of deceit just wouldn't sit right with me.

Everyone to their own and I do understand we all have a different moral compass but for me honesty will always prevail :)

Slight flaw to your plan, You would be exploiting the Casino, not BTG

For all those leaning towards exploiting the bug, one piece of advise:

DO NOT GET GREEDY!

We had this player that discovered a bug, and although we do weekly reconciliation (verify data in back-office with game provider and our own data) a few thousands of euro's won't be noticed as a big problem.

There was this game that you could predict a bit better when the feature would kick-in. And if you would just refresh the browser before the feature starts, the feature would pay out twice, three times or even four times.

So exploiting this in the first week for the value of 5000 euros wasn't spotted. But when the player in question deposited 2x 30 euros and all of a sudden had 300K on the account, you start the check properly.

This player could have most likely abused this bug for a long time, but greed ruined it for the player.

Personally - I would report this immediate to the game provider and the casino I'm playing at. given that I also represent the industry as a whole, it would pay off more to report a bug as to exploit it.

“Having money isn't everything, not having it is.”

If you have money its much easier to take the high moral ground and not to exploit the bug ..
but if you have hard to get food to the family and pay the bills .. .. then the moral compass is fck hard to.....

Like @L&L-Jan says: if you find a extra way(gray area) to get some cash don't be GREEDY.

...as Nicola's inbox reaches capacity :D

I know this one too, it is quite old actually..
Unfortunately to trigger the wheel is quite hard and thus the advantage mostly will be minimal or even not there..

To answer OP's question, I have reported a serious bug before at a casino I was playing and didn't even get a thank you..It could have costed them dearly but I am not the kind of person to make money like that..It eventually comes back at you..

I don't know what I would do if I discovered a bug in a game. Probably consider it to be a lucky situation on the first session but after that, I should think I would notice it as being a bug if it was being overly generous and report it to the casino. Having said that I would make sure the first session's winnings would be paid out first though.
I have never had the fortune/misfortune of discovering a bug that gave me money but plenty of the other kinds of bugs that make playing games not fun.

Its hard to say what i would do really.
Opportunity makes the thief as they say.
Maybe i am in dire need of money for some reason when i find the exploit.
Say i needed an extra €1000 for whatever reason. (most probably some super non-selfish and noble reason)
Maybe i would make sure i got that before i reported it.

In the end im pretty sure i would report it, but depending on mood, how the slots been going that month etc i might sneak myself a withdrawal before i report it.

Never trust a bear.

As tempting as it might be, i would report it..i wouldn't feel happy about taking advantage
of the loophole, and as others have said, these things usually catch up with you eventually.

I have been in that exact situation in the past, working full time to pay childcare costs and all my bills and I still couldn't bring myself to be dishonest knowingly.

I actually found a bag of cash (over £3000) in a street in Glasgow, handed it into the police, turned out to be the takings from a small shop for the day and I didn't get so much as a thank you but all I know I did what was right for me :)

day i find a bug I will message dionysus everyday for the exact amount i take out at every casino just to wind him up.:laugh::laugh:

also regarding mega moolah i guess the "bug" is when you trigger jackpot wheel you just wait and close the game for few days until it climbs to a high amount then play it out? makes sense actually.

After many years playing and losing endlessly you discover an exploit in a certain very popular game which basically allows you to win as much as you like.

What do you do?
Notify the casino?
Hit up a reputable casino for a couple Grand a week?
Sign up to one of the worst casino groups and take them for all they've got?
Take just a little top up now and then?
Post about it on YouTube?
... As above with referral links?
I would check my account settings, just to make sure I've not turned into Bloatie.
