Virgin bet cancelling withdrawal

Where do I stand with this

So I created an account with them today and deposited £230 that I then turned into around £1,300 in about an hour via sports betting. I then withdrew £200.

I went onto lose the remaining balance within the next hour. I then click on withdrawals to see when I will receive payout and it says cancelled.

I had multiple bets running at once and my balance was constantly changing

I contacted live support and they said I received an email( which I didn’t).

My point is that i was shown a confirmed withdrawal page and estimated time of arrival into my bank and that was all. I was never told my withdrawal had been cancelled at any point so I was un aware of the funds going back into my account.

I had numerous bets running at once so my balance was always changing and I wasn’t keeping an eye on it.

Live support said it’s my fault for not paying attention. But why would I pay attention to something I’m not expecting to happen, when my balance was regularly changing.

Personally I think I’m entitled to my withdrawal considering I was never told or alerted it had been cancelled.

It was probably cancelled to carry out some basic KYC checks. It is a bit odd you never got an email, have you checked the spam folder as well?

Unfortunately even if you were never sent a withdrawal cancellation email at all, you aren't entitled to the funds as you utilised them. Giving £200 back to you would be unfair to the casino as you would have been able to essentially double dip (risk free bet) even if it was a mistake.

I understand you weren't aware due to constantly changing balances but the onus remains with you despite this. You are liable for what you do with the money in your account and it's not the websites job to babysit you.

You definitely should have received a notification regarding the state of your withdrawal, however, the absence of this does not grant you the privilege of being able to claim back a reversed withdrawal that you unknowingly played with.
