Thunderstruck - A Saviour of sorts

After my pursuit of unlocking the extra two features in Dark Knight Rises, whereby Bane's Super Stacked Wilds took the proverbial, I decided to return to my old faithful of years gone by, in the form of Thunderstruck.

I had literally just started playing at £7.20 a spin when three rams decided to come out to play. Below is the result :)



Whilst not an earth shattering win, I definitely will take 63x at £7.20 a spin thank you very much.

It is fun, but two important things to remember...

1) This is a "save up" slot - you collect 4 wild "tokens" on each reel to give you 4 spins with the reel totally wild.
Because of this, you can't change your bet (well you can, but the tokens don't move to the new bet level). This means you should think hard at what level to go for before you start. It's generally pretty low variance, so you can be fairly brave.

2) Free spins can be CRAP - like any game.
I actually got them twice more after my great win above and before moving on: one paid bet x10, the other around bet x30 I think.
You really need a lot of luck and a lot of wilds to hit early (like I did) for a great result.
The free-spins trigger on average about every 160 spins-ish, in my experience.

I totally disagree. This game makes Raging Rhino like a walk in the park. I would say it is very high variance:

- During the base game nothing happens - there is no potential end of
- When saving the wilds, more often than not only 1 reel at a time is released and all it does is block a scatter falling down on the reel. Very rarely do you get a big win.
- You can easily spend £100 at £0.90 a spin before the bonus round drops in if you're lucky.

I know I had a good win to start with (beginners luck) but it has been robbing me blind to the tune of £1,200 over the past couple of days.

The game has big potential of course but in my opinion it should be played with caution and a very big bank roll.
 
The Untamed games are SUPER High Variance and can munch a bank roll without mercy in no time.

Been playing them since their release and subject numerous times to both ends of the scale :rolleyes:

Untamed Crowned Eagle is slightly less evil on bad days!

Wolf Pack and Giant Panda are the biggest killers or payers

Bengal Tiger can go weeks without a feature but is the better for bringing 'save a wild' on more than just one reel.

The game reminds me of DOA - spot the bleeding wild during the bonus round :eek2:

I think that even DOA is less high variance than this particular untamed game - it is absolutely brutal and the previous advice to be brave (which I read as play at high stakes) because it is low variance is pure wrong advice ( sorry KasinoKing ;) )

KK is a very good source of information, but even 'God' has his bad days :p
 
He has been lucky on the game therefore he thinks it's not volatile. Like I thought the Rhino wasn't volatile originally as I had 1640x on it at Virgin, the first site I played it at.....:rolleyes:

LOL exactly what happened to me on Montezuma..
Hit 1550x on Bet365 the day it was released..
After that mostly insignificant sessions with losing streaks or very very small profit if lucky.. :rolleyes:
 
Some wins from a disastrous week of slotting where £1,200 was lost. Despite of this, there were some big wins over 100x bet but it was little too late. The sessions were played at Videoslots casino (you recovered some of my winnings this year back!).

Slots featured are Ruby Slippers, Untamed Giant Panda, Finer Reels of Life and Cloud Quest:

Gnatent games are under the 'games' tag. Novo/Aristocrap/Nextgen are under the casino tag. Cash-outs quite quick but submit docs first to be sure.
