I was just playing on Inet for real. Ran out of real money. Then as I often do, I decided to play the new game in fun mode. Of course I then hit the Progressive JP. I guess you don't get the whole win in play mode. I think you just need all the Wilds to hit it. I only made the SS because I've never seen all of the wilds for a progressive even in fun mode, let alone on the first couple of days of its launch. I think I'll now try again with real money
