Windows 8.... accessories??..... where are they?....

This is really stupid but I can't find accessories on this computer.

No calculator, paint, etc...... I have looked everywhere.

Can anyone here tell me just where they are on this dang thing?

Good old Microsoft. Making things more difficult for users as they release more up-to-date technology. I have no experience of Windows 8 sorry so can't help. Just wanted you to know that I sympathise with your frustration.

its always been called calc.exe in previous versions, so you can search for it simply typing calc or paint and it should find it

C:\Windows\System32 is where its located if you can find the file explorer

windows 8 is a step backwards in terms of usability ,

Swipe to the very right and type calc in search. I hate Windows 8 with a passion, it has a mind on it's on own, bend on making my life harder.
All that stupid stuff it does on laptops

Hover over top tight corner and the blue menu comes up (in desktop mode) and search. Then right click on 'paint' and 'pin to taskbar'. Do this for all stuff you regularly use, and then you have win7 again!

LOL weesie ...... you could upgrade to Win 8.1 and really confuse yourself

And to the Win 8 haters ........ now you know how I feel about Apple!

I noticed that Microsoft have now launched Windows 10, completely skipping 9 (I heard this was to distance themselves from 8). It's always the same with them, they make a shambles of one operating system and then come up with a good one, shambles, good repeat repeat. We all remember vista, no?
