I was just wondering why can a household only have one account at a casino?

My husband doesn't gamble online, so this doesn't pertain to me, but just pretend he did for now.

Say we wanted to play against each other in tournys? Husbands and wives like a little competition now and then ;)

Or say we both liked a particular casino?

If it is because of sign up bonuses, then why don't the casinos just limit one sign up bonus per household? That would be the only abuse right? Am I missing something else?

You can have one for each member after approval first. I have a few different accounts at the same casino with my hubby and we use different computers. I have always gotten approval before opening one up for him.

Not all casinos allow this but the smart ones do...especially if you are hubby and wife...with PROOF!

I know some players that play in the same place in the same household at the same time.
Wife uses computer in house
Husband has laptop & uses other peoples connection in the neighborhood.
And some asked the neighbor if they can use the address and they tell them what they are doing.

Just ask and they will sometimes approve this...better on the books than trying to hide something in case a good win comes along ...you do not want to jeopardize any wins ....many will allow this...just ask...

It's a standard rule so that people don't open a crapload of accounts for the bonuses etc. But with every rule there are exceptions. All you have to do is explain your situation and ask for permission. 9 times out of 10, they'll make an exception.

Multiple

Before I found CM, I had accounts all over the place, a lot of rogues included. My husband use to only play card/ poker games on line mostly @ MG. Once he discovered how muh fun I had playing slots at RTG, he sometimes wanted to play. The problem was that I had most of the CMlisted casinos.
In the terms of most of them, they state to simply ask for permission to open a new account. I asked Louise if he could play at a Rushmore casino I had, and she said to just send in his ID docs. I have not tried anywhere else, but at least they may let someone.

Hiya: I do not know if this does/would be a reason or not. But, in a real Casino, this would be called, "Team Play". It is a ploy to be able to get around table betting limits.

Example: Roulette, max bet on any number straight up is $25. Well, if my wife and I are at the same table, we could bet $25 ea. on the same #, and thus be breaking the table limit max bet allowed.........

In theroy, you could do this online as well. It just would be at different tables. If that pesky lucky #7 has not hit, and i was up to the $25 max bet on it, my wife could log in, and combined, we could now be betting $25 by me, and $2 by her, and be betting $27 total, and be able to go all the way up to $50.
