WHY DO THEY ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS

I would like to know if anyone has experience that a Casino will accept your MasterCard or Visa card and get the approval in less than 30 Sec. However if you win and try to cash out they will tell you that they can't credit the card back. I have been a long time user of a prosessor for CC and when my company has to make a return/or Credit to a clients card it is done in the same fashion as getting the approval. My point is that If a site will not credit back your card then they should post it before they process your request. It just seems strange that they make all kinds of excuses as to why the will not credit your card back. E.G. USA banks will not issue a credit to a card well that is hog wash, if they give an approval they will also issue a credit. To me this is some of the stuff that players are fed up with. Just my feelings that any and all online sites either should be streight forward and tell the client up front before they take their credit card.

I think the reason you can't refund credit card purchases at casinos any more is because the banks and credit card companies are treating these "purchases" as what they really are cash advances. If you use your credit card at an ATM to make a cash advance, you can't turn around and put it back in you're stuck with the higher interest rate, which is of course in the best interest (literally!) of the banks and credit card companies.

I don't remember where I saw it but it was in the Terms and Conditions at some online casino. I'll see if I can find a link to more info about this.

SlotJunkie, that is a major reason. Also another reason is that the longer casinos hold your money the more chance there is for you to use. The most important reason though is that the casino uses a special processor to run credit cards, and pays that processor well over the going rate of 6% for most business, on all transactions. So on a 100.00 deposit the casino will not even see 90.00 of it, and if you than break even and cash out 100.00 the casino will have to pay thr processor 110.00. So your broke even on a 100.00 deposit would have cost the casino 20.00 in fees.

Most (reputable) casinos I've seen do state this in their T&C's - another good reason to ALWAYS read them before you deposit. Some have a note on the depositing screen.

I can understand the casino's point of view - it's usually not them who block the refunds to the cards, but the credit companies themselves.
The casino's are hardly likely to refuse a deposit by ANY means, now are they! ;)

A few

I have found a couple of casinos that are able to refund to my Visa credit cards, they are both in the Palace Group. That said, another UK group of banks has tightened the rules on transactions to gambling merchants. Royal Bank of Scotland now treat these as cash advances, and you are only allowed to deposit half the total card limit per month. Interest is obviously charged throughout (which they neglect to mention) rather than only if not paid at the end of the month. I have not found a Mastercard that will accept these transactions, and Click2Pay stopped acting as a free conduit for using Mastercards to deposit last summer.
I now only have 2 credit cards and one debit card that works, and my Neteller account.
Making it harder to deposit will reduce the amount of business that goes through a casino, and I expect they will accept credit cards so long as they can find a way to do so.

on a similar note why aren't internet banking transfers instant. Not casino ones but lets say you want to send your brother $200 from your bank account. Even if his account at the same bank it takes a day or at least overnight. BAM! it should be there instantly. Like neteller or epassporte. And why dont such transfers process on weekends, long weekends and public holidays?

You dont see a bunch of Dell servers down the beach with their families on the weekend.

Instadebit

The best service..

If you don't like those methods.. try them....

They have been in business for a while and I have always thought that at some point they will become bigger than Neteller, Moneybookers, Firepay, Click to Pay...

INSTADEBIT :notworthy

which other credit card works?

vinylweatherman said " I now only have 2 credit cards and one debit card that works" besides Royal Bank of Scotland, what is the other credit card comapny that their credit card will work for interent casino gambling? i tried the royal bank of scotland and their online credit card application is down.
