why do the reels spin faster at inetbet than at bodog?

They spin the fastest at 49er for me. That is one of the things I like so much about that casino. Some others are so slow I can't take it or the reels spin too long. What is that all about?

In MGs I notice Dogfather spins slower than all the others.

They were very slow at iNet on Tuesday morning. You could watch each individual symbol go past. Later they got back up to full speed.

I hope they were doing an update or something to fix the slots. Tuesday was the first day in a long time that I've had a decent session.

Most likely these are problems with the servers.

Most casinos have entire IT departments trying to deal with server issues, and they can be tricky. You may find that they pick up speed or lose speed periodically as they are being worked on, especially when new things are being installed.

I brought this point up a while back, servers or not, this has been going on for a long time now, since the new games release before this latest one, hope they get on this and fix it.

It would be safe to assume that the reason for this is that when it's going slow then more players are on at the same time. The only real way to "fix" this would be for them to upgrade the server with more memory/faster hard drive(s)/faster processor, etc.

We have had this conversation before, if you own a casino, and you have congestion problems ongoing for a great length of time, are you going to search for a solution? This is my point exactly, when I addressed this with Inet they had me uninstall the software twice, what a huge pain in the ass and at times it still runs slow, so I am not really sure if it is the problem or not, as I stated before this only started after the last games release.

What a joke they have for an IT department, if they think the issue is on the player's end. Don't they understand that it works fine at other casinos? Geeze..Are they even keeping track of CPU/Memory usage to make sure it doesn't go over a preset %, then upgrade accordingly?

Do the casinos even manage the servers themselves, or does the software provider do it for them? If the latter, then how can they even attempt to give an answer without consulting the provider first to make sure there's no issues on that end?

No shit!! There is nothing that sucks the enjoyment out of playing than watching a painfully slow reel spin, especially on the bonus when you see the symbol fly by and you know it aint hitting. ie: Raindance

IE Helps

I have found that with RTG casinos you can speed up the reels by opening a program. For the most part Internet Explorer 7 speeds things up greatly for me. (Although I no longer play as of today  Want to buy a house :D ).

That would hold true if it was the same across all casinos, not just 1 or 2 ;)

Good luck on your house venture!!

Thanks! :) It has always worked since I first played any RTG casinos, be it King solos or inet on my D410 Laptop they always sped up, but not on my desktop, I did have a play with this in the past and found that my Desktop needed Photoshop or Dreeamweaver (something Heavier) to cause the speed up. I would say that its just a bug that has never been ironed out, dependant on machine and what is going on in the background. My CPU speed will spike when I have multiple programs open, but then again this is only my experience, it depends heavily on what is going on in the background of the system and what the system is built up of.

Gnight! :drink:

May be late on this one...

I've noticed if RTG slots are being really really slow if I open IE and go to flash.com and minimize it they speed up dramatically, never fails. I suppose there's something thats flashy about the real series slots who knows.
