Why do I gamble?

So last night as I blew away my $300 win from 3Dice, (few screenshots posted) I'm thinking to myself why bother? This is supposed to be for entertainment with the chance to win and get excited.

Since my last cashout at 3Dice, I probably sank in 2 or 3 times what I just withdrew, so it's not even a "win" (haven't checked, could be more/less) and I'm not talking about my overall RTP, I'm pretty sure mine is quite good. It just seems I get a win, then deposit a lot of money and get a small win, which doesn't even compair to my last deposits. (not just at 3Dice, everywhere)

I also played 2 RTG's yesterday, with one that the money went so fast I don't even know if I got to finish my coffee, and the other one lasted a bit longer, but nothing over my original deposit, well maybe $20 over or something, but not much.

So I ask myself and everyone here...why do we bother? The excitement of winning? Being bored/nothing else to do? If I kept all my deposits, I would "win" a random jackpot with my own money ya know?

Now it's getting harder for the USA players, wins are few and far between, so what's a girl to do? I'm home all alone all day, I really LOVE gambling, or used to LOVE gambling...for me it's changing for the worst. USA problems/no wins/money never lasting.

What is everyones take on gambling lately? Have you slowed down/stopped? Playing just the same? I like to relax and have a bit of fun, but it hasn't been fun for a while at any casino. I can only cross-stitch so much.

I have slowed down a whole lot due to many factors, the playtime for your buck just doesnt seem to be like before at some places and its just not relaxing for me sometimes, i found myself getting frustrated so i knew it was time to slow down, only small deposits here and there.

The economy crunch sure didnt help with peoples overall gambling deposits either imho but this is a form of entertainment and when your not getting enjoyment from it anymore, sometimes its just best to cut back and use that money for a trip to a day spa or a nice weekend getaway or just buy yourself or a loved one something special.

Gaming is for pure entertainment value only with the chance that you may cashout and be ahead of the house, its a great form of entertainment but can be an expensive one as well but with all entertainment venues, there has to be a limit set, those that set limits are the ones that tend to be the smartest gamblers imo.

WITH ALL DO RESPECT the way i see it you and i and the rest of us gamble
out of the same desire that a golfer golfs =desire , aah but the difference is that we expect to get a return $$ once in a while while the golfer pays his fees and pays for his drinks and such at the club house

but you have the game at your disposal 24/7 not many golfers own there own course that golfing is habitual also , sports fans spend $$$$ for season seats with no pari mutuel windows in the stadium
