* How Many Casinos need to be in the same group before it is considered a "White-Label Operation"?

We have read many of the threads here over the past year concerning Rival and all of its "White-Label Casinos" or what most here consider as being White-Label Casinos.

In Rival's situation I believe that most consider them as White-Labels because of being one of several casinos owned and operated by Silverstone Overseas Limited with their centralized support system.

Of course, with the exception being Box24 Casino and Sloto'Cash Casino.

As a good comparison here,

*What makes the Migrogaming Group, Casino Rewards any different?

*As they have 18 Casinos and 2 Poker Rooms under the same roof now...is this also considered "White-Label by you guys and if not, why not?

Casino Reward Casinos List: 20 Properties!

Aztec Riches Casino - Owned by ITS Limited

_________________________________________________

The ClubWorld Casinos Group now has (6) six total casinos in their group, not including all of the other un-named skins that some affiliates run.

*Is this White-Label too because they are all owned by the same company? If not, then why not?

Club USA Casino
Club Euro Casino
Club UK Casino
Aladdin's Casino
Lucky Red Casino
Manhattan Casino

Thanks in advance for any responses...

This is an excellent post, Rob!

I really hope everyone will contribute. I don't know enough to say what is or is not a "white label". Up until the last year or two, I had never heard of such a thing.

My understanding was that WL casinos (Skins) are simply a middleman, an affy who wants to make money, contracts for a skin and carries it on his site. The owner of that casino handles all the money and support and the WL owner collects a percentage.

I simply never paid that much attention, other than it seems to have allowed way too many casinos, which creates more complaints and hard feelings.

As a player in the US, I have a hard enough time finding ways to play and keep up on the politics of on line gaming.

Anyway, I really hope some of you guys and gals will post and let people like me understand it better.

Where is that Pina at? I remember a few years ago, when I was new, there was this huge thread about white labels and she had a very good handle on it. I for one can certainly benefit from the people who understand it and have knowledge about it.

Good thread Rob.

Short answer: no.

The reason is that a white label is considered to be a casino managed or operated by someone on behalf of someone else. Both CasinoRewards and Club World manage their own casinos - it would be more accurate to consider them as a group (like MGM in Vegas).

The Rival casinos, on the other hand, I would probably agree because I am sure they are not managed and operated by the same people.

Thanks for the response Spear...

Wouldn't all the Rival "White-Labels" be considered as doing the same as the red highlighted above then? ..... since they all but two, state on their T's & C's pages that "(Fill-In-The-Blank) xxxxxxx is a casino owned and operated by Silverstone Overseas Limited"

Rob,
Rival's (aka Bonne Chance's) corporate structure is a cluster fuck designed to avoid ownership and operator transparency as well as the FBI-DOJ-AG of the State of N.Y.! How did that work out for Rennick?;)

I certainly don't disagree with you at all on that point Nash...

I'm really just trying to get a clear and consise handle/meaning as to why some of the other groups of casinos are also not considered to be "White-Labels" as well.

I don't know enough about Silverstone or Bonne Chance to be able to say... but I do know the other two groups :)

I believe Spear's definition of a white label is succinct and right on the money.

Where the Silverstone thing complicates the issue is that, as Nash says, it seems to be a ruse to cover the tracks of the real people behind the various brands.

And because Silverstone so successfully obfuscates the issue, none of us can be sure exactly what sort of animal it is - white label provider for cloaked owner/owners, or a genuine corporate group like ITS which happens to own a number of brands.

I've never really liked the white label concept, which is now being portrayed in a more acceptable light as companies start up B2B divisions like Dragonfish and Betsson Business Solutions. And of course St Minver has been at it for years (and is probably one of the less troublesome of the genre).

On paper it may look good, but it too often hides the real identity of those behind the venture who control cashflow and make decisions that can adversely impact both players and suppliers if things go wrong.

This is especially perilous when small, underfunded software providers or casino companies start involving themselves in this area of the business imo.

Edited to repeat Spear's definition, which is worthwhile remembering imo: "...a white label is considered to be a casino managed or operated by someone on behalf of someone else."
