This is an interesting story in terms of just freespin rewards on Videoslots. For the "Too Long Didn't Read". Go to the end of the post. :)

Where to Start, Where to start...

So back on September 20th, I made a $50 deposit and was able to clear wager of around $750ish CAD so I could play in the Freerolls for two weeks. I ended up losing only $20. With basically a $1+ balance. I started making a balance again with just freeroll wins. Little wins here and there and soon enough just before the Flamebusters Freeroll event along with a bit of help from the "weekend booster" and "race winnings" ($10+ after both), I had a balance of around $64. All from freeroll winnings!

So since the event was about to start, I did a $63 withdrawal. I played in the weekend event and ended up with 64 "freespin packages" and had an actual total of 319 spins on Flame Busters!

I did a stream On Oct 3rd on just redeeming all of the 319 freespins on Flamebusters... I made $43+ from those. :)

I didn't do a cashout and I just left the balance since just hours earlier on October 5th, I made a $52 deposit. I eventually ended up with a $0 balance even with my extra $43+ start and then I made a second deposit of $62. This balance was close to RIP, but Bonanza to the rescue! From a balance of around $10 back to a pretty healthy balance of around $46 all just from basegame hits!

Then I stopped since I wagered over $750+ CAD so I earned freeroll access for 14 days and since I wanted to at least cash out $50+, I had a few freespin rewards to use...

I earned just one "5 freespins on Grim Muerto" during the whole session from one of the new games that I haven't played before. This along with other rewards that I won during the Flamebusters Freeroll weekend means I have a small chance at making this $46 balance get to over $50.

So I redeem the "5 spins on Grim Muerto". Third spin in... Second chance bonus. I was lucky and got the actual freespin bonus! It decided to play nice and at the end of it all... $15+!

Now with a balance just over $62, I made a cashout of $61 and here is where things got interesting. I had these rewards to play out: "10 spins on book of Dead", "15 spins on Birds on a Wire", "15 spins on The Rift", "20 spins on Rage to Riches", "25 spins on SuperFlip", and "25 spins on Spectra".

So with a balance of $1+, I redeemed the 10 and two 15 spin rewards. Earned very little from them ($3+ from all three combined ). So then I used the "25 spins on Spectra". Wouldn't you know it that here is where the luck from winning took a crazy turn!

With just a few freespins left, I get the wild feature as per usual, but this one decides to be extra special. With reels 2 - 4 wild, I get almost a wild reel on reel one! This payed around 64x. Then, the respin had me have reels 1 - 4 all wild now so I knew I would hit something... I get at least one wild in view on reel 5! This spin payed out 163x, but it doesn't stop there! Since I had a wild on reel 5, I got my final respin and that... Payed 324x! Grand total is 576x. From 25 freespins all wager free!

And even that that crazy win, The "20 spins on Rage to Riches" decided to give me a bonus and I won after all of them were done like around $7+ in total. To finish things off, my final freespin reward that was "25 spins on SuperFlip" was also nice. I had a full screen hit of Strawberries for $8 and the grand total at the end of it all... $10.80!

All in All, my Balance after all of this crazy stuff is... $78+ ALL WAGER FREE!

This was the start of the respins on Spectra...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So basically the result is this: $64 cashout start and then a $52 deposit + $62 deposit - $61 withdrawal up until this point. Basically, I didn't spend a cent of my own money since I got lucky in breaking even with that $61 withdrawal. Now I have an incoming $80+ withdrawal as well because of my luck. All from Freeroll winnings!

I haven't cashed this out yet, but it goes to show that not all "freespin rewards" are crappy 0x to 10x. The pictures I took tell all. I'll never experience this luck again, lol.

Crazy!

P.S As a footnote. My "normal" amount that I get over the two weeks of freerolls since I am lucky to win freespin rewards most of the time is around $10 - $20 on average.

Congratulations to you
My Videoslots free rolls have been awful since they changed things a short while ago. This past week I have won just 5 free spins on some crappy 10p game and most of my positions are 500th place or lower

Same here, I won 67.00 from 10 BoD free spins and only 3.00 from 200 spins in Victorious, Jack Hammer, Super flip, Copy Cats and Wonky Wabbits!

Also I won those 200 spins in 2-3 days and then go for 7 days and 80 battles winning 0 spins!

Today looks normal, I hope with the happy hour I will win 10.00 to play in DoA. :p

The rewards are not to be sniffed at, many a time has an unlikely set ended up with £30+ on games I'd never normally play. Like redeeming 10 on say Secret of the Stones and triggering the bonus with wilds on reels 2 + 4 (most unexpected) and before you know it, you got another decent bankroll to fritter away

I've amassed quite a few hundred just from these, problem is in the spirit of fairness I always end up returning the money :cool:

Earlier in the year I made an effort to play canny at videoslots in order to maximise my withdrawals. At one point mid summer I couldn't believe that I was still winning. Now that i'm back to work after a few ops my approach has slackened a lot so I have been playing "winnings" back way too much.
On the other hand my deposits elsewhere recently have been mostly negligible.

Good for you buddy! Love to see a lowrolling successtory like that:p
Also worth noting that i didn't nominate Spectra s one of the best slots last year!
It's highly underrated slot, with very good winning potential..i simply love when it goes crazy..

On another note: i also have deposited at VS again recently, but got nowhere fast with 2x 20 deposits -i really don't think the requirements for the battle are realistic. P.M.-ed Dan about that, and hope they will change that..500 is just too high in comparison to the 20 deposit, and it kinda feels like you get punished for having bad luck, when you don't make the wagering :p

Side note: i recently played a slot i saw you play in a video, called 'mystery fruit' and that was one of the coolest slots from unknown providers (to me) i have played in a long time! Apart from that fun Bonus Round, it also is very streaky (which i love) and has great potential in the basegame, with or without the extra feature in basegame, so thanks for the tip mate

I would imagine VS freeroll has to be risk managed at VS. Lower the wagering, more people have access to the battles but they can't register due to them being full so what do you know VS would have to increase the battles or the places in the battles and their financial risk increases - I can understand why they do it the way they do.

At the weekend, the amount of people taking part in the freeroll having received a 'free ticket' to access were all boasting about their winnings and not having had to pay a penny towards wagering - this is whilst the ones who deposit frequently walk away with nothing but losses, now where is the fairness in that?

100% agree with you on this greylady - weekend freeroll tickets for non-depositors is a kick in the proverbials

Just only give free tickets to people that have deposited in the past, and/or make a separate battle, for first time depositors or newbies, same as a lot of Bingo rooms do for their new players..

My point exactly is that people that deposit should get rewarded, and receive extra's..
There will always be a bunch of players that deposit as little as possible, and you can't really blame them for that, but you can make sure all depositing players (that deposit enough to fulfill the requirement) have the same access to these extra's - hence my statement: i rather deposit 2 x 20 to get access, then one x 20 + 500 wagering...
After all, you get a chance to win in the battles.

I agree with some sentiments. The amount of people boasting..."took out again $xxx.xx without depositing" is staggering but I would not take that word for word. Gamblers rarely talk about what they put in, but ALWAYS about what they take out.

And the reason that the deposit required is only EUR20 but wagering is EUR500 is that VS does not make money on our deposits, their profits come from the amount that is wagered in total on the games through their site. Hence, as greylady put it, we can all be assured that VS did a proper risk assessment, hence why the number stands at EUR500.

.... and let's not forget the battle weekends and the monthly freeroll like the next three days, those that don't wager sufficient for the normal battles have a second chance at these additional battles and a prize/cash to boot.

That position was 300 and something! :(

I thought the longer gap between games only happened after there was a game each hour for two hours and then the next one wasn't for three hours - like now for example with Gonzo's Quest and Starburst. Correct me if I am wrong.

I would love to correct you if your wrong, but I can't. I didn't save such data
But I do know that there has been many times that games have been missed without there being two battles an hour apart.

PS. If I am wrong then I am sure Dan will soon be along to kick my arse :)

I havent played a battle for a few months now as I dont deposit much anywhere nowadays, last one was the weekend Fruit Warp battle and didnt qualify to play the 2 hourly battles.

TBH I dont miss them, I always interupted things i was doing just to make sure i got my battle in

Wow. I didn't expect this thread to have 3 pages of replies already!

I do agree on most of the things that is said like VS "giving out Battle Tickets" to people who haven't made a deposit and people making a withdrawal without a deposit. That is certainly a rare thing and as it is for a Canadian in terms of freeroll access, we can't wager $500 CAD and have access to the battles. Since VS uses Euros, we as Canadians have to wager closer to $750 CAD actually. I have been lucky to not spend too much money in order to get this so I have something to do over the two weeks.

I have a limited gambling fund of a few hundred a month so for me, every bit helps and it is entertaining for me.
