Got an email over the weekend from a formerly accredited site, and thought I shouldnt be receiving this as I had chosen to take a break for 6 weeks as I had a few rough sessions last week.
Went onto the site, and when I tried to login I had a pop up message " your account is paused, would you like to reactivate it".
I logged in, remembered why I had taken a break ( last night my 2 main games were Roulette and I had a 30% RTP for over E1,000 and 7s to burn, were I had a 19% RTP on over E400.). Went to chat and asked them to close the account down, as there is no point in TAB as it isnt really taking a break.
My question is, if an account is on a TAB, should the player be able to login and reactivate before the TAB expires - mine was for 6 weeks but I accessed after 1 week.

No, you should automatically be able to log in upon expiry, not before.

I know the casino you speak of. Its Casumo . And even though the RG settings have improved the TAB is all but useless. You can not TAB .... as its not really TAB because as the OP says you can re-activate the account any time with 1 click. So they got this wrong.

Rather you are stuck with DL - set it to 10 monthly or SE.

Took them long enough to get the PLAY OK settings up and running and you would have thought they would have got it right. Seems not.

This is why im no longer playing at Casumo as I need rock solid safety nets other wise I loose my mind. And a TAB option that works is a must for a degenerate gambler like me. So without it I had no choice but to close down my account.

The casinos that see my dolla are those where I can set my own limits and set my own TAB that does NOT let me play until the TAB I set has expired. Its called putting the player in control of his/hers own experince .. casinos that do offer proper RG tools will continue to have my business until I meet my maker. The others ... dont see nowt in the end. As I just close it down.

Completely pointless feature if the player is able to reactive their own accounts! What if the player had accessible funds available for reversal for example? Kind of defeats the purpose :eek2:

I always considered TAB a feature that allowed the player control on their terms, and something of a genuine responsible gambling tool.....unlike Self Exclusion which causes the player untold problems across a casino group, and allows casinos to deny winnings etc.

I know which is the more helpful feature. But allowing TAB log-ins is not acceptable imo

Changed title from "When is a TAB not a TAB?" to help out our newbie members, (and Google :p).

Yes and I think they do say when your in the Play OK settings that to -re-activate an account to contact customer support. It gives the clear impression that when you "take a break" (tab) that it means just that. When in fact its not. Its just an account "pause" and it should clearly state that the account can be re-opened at any time with 1 or 2 clicks.

But not something that will effect me as im not playing there anymore.

Fortune lounge is the same. Ask for TAB for 2 weeks. You can re-open 10 minutes later. Same with Vegas partner lounge. Both casinos discourage any kind of responsible gaming in every way possible. They won't let you self exclude easily either. They make you print out a form sign it and fax it to them. Which is a tedious way to go about it knowing players will find that a huge pain and not bother.

Even if you say to support..i have a gambling problem. They don't care. I had a friend go through it and it was hell

Not good and I really detest casinos that do not promote responsible gambling! And a group as well established as Fortune Lounge ... well really no excuse ... none

This is why the likes of Videoslots, Royal Panda and now Trada since they sorted the RG settings out will retain my loyalty. Because I feel its safe for me to play there ... and if I do go on Tilt its my own fault fully.

I feel that casino's who act like this should not be accredited. It goes against everything responsible gambling stands for. Its even in their terms.

I read the chat transcript as my friend took screenshots. She was transferred to the pit boss and demanded her account be closed. The pit boss out right refused and said we will close your account but that wont stop you from opening 10 minutes later. She said she wanted it closed forever and he refused again. And said if you want it to be closed forever then you need to sign that form and send it to us and it may take 48 hours to review.

So as they were hoping, once she calmed down she said forget it. The casino wanted her to sign a contract stating she didnt want to be self excluded and if she lost any money because the casino didnt agree to the self exclude she cant hold the casino liable for any losses that may occur.

And when I come to think of it, I wanted to take a break from them for a bit but mine was due to my work and leaving for a couple weeks so I didnt want my account opened for a set date. And they refused and said the only way we will shut down an account is if you fill out a self exclusion form. I said I dont have gambling problem I just want my account to be secure while im away. They would not do it.
