I have found out that on Playmontecarlo if you and the dealer are both dealt a blackjack instead of a push you actually lose the hand. I had this happen and sent an email to them as I thought it was an error but it is part of their rules.

I was wondering how much this affects the total percentage return by, and if they are unique in not giving a "push" in this situation.

Will add that Playmontecarlo is IMO a decent non-download casino and apart from the above I cant fault them at all :D

Rules copied from their site:
Blackjack
To win at PlayMonteCarlo's Online Casino European Blackjack you need to accumulate cards that add up closer to 21 than that of the dealer's cards, without going over 21. If the value of your hand is closer to 21 than that of the dealer's you win. If the value of the dealer's hand is higher then yours, without going over 21, you lose. If the hands are of equal value the deal is a "push" and your money is returned, unless the dealer has Blackjack in which case dealer wins. If you have a total of 22 or higher (a busted hand), you lose regardless of whether the dealer also busts.

The added house percentage depends on how many decks are used. A double blackjack won't happen as much in a single deck as compared to multiple decks.

This is so different from the normal blackjack that everybody plays that there needs to be even more clarity. It would just seem that if the dealer gets BJ,it would beat the player's hand of 21 which would have been the normal case. Even if I had read the T&C's I wouldnt think that it meant that the player's BJ is beaten by a dealer's BJ.

I'm guessing you lose an extra unit about every 461 hands. So almost -0.22%.
Quite a substantial percentage of the normal HA, if so.

I see no point in playing there when there are so many more favorable BJ games available.

Not to mention, it's not exactly clear in the rules.

I just want to confirm that Clayman's number are correct.

I used to get bonuses with WR only 10xB, which more than made up for the unfavourable BJ rules.
